I must have been too early or maybe it was one of the rare instances, but they were nowhere near ready to be open.. I get that it was early, but I went when it said they were supposed to be open.. waited 30min because I heard good things about this place, but still didn't get in.. hope it was one time thing..
Great food had takeout. Pastries and sandwiches delicious. They use butter to make their pastries which js hard to find I'm the GTA. A must try if in the area
The Paris-Brest pastry is very disappointing. It looks good in appearance, but the taste just isn’t there. The choux bun pastry is dry, and the cream doesn’t taste like praline at all. The prices are not displayed, showing a lack of transparency and product description.
Absolutely love this café! Always a pleasure to come here. Their coffee and pastries are great. Bonus point because everything is halal on their menu.
Thought I'd try this place for the first time today... yikes. It's a cute cafe -- the aesthetic and vibe is there, the treats in the glass casing look amazing (I didn't try any)... but the coffee/espresso is AWFUL. I paid $7+ (with tip) for a regular Americano that tastes old and musty. Gross. I am a coffee snob and can certainly tell you that there are many other cafes in the area with MUCH better espresso (The Library, Daily Dose, Hot Black). Avoid this place if solely going for coffee. Also, the staff who helped me was also not very friendly - didn't leave a great first impression for me. Won't be returning.
The place is open late which is awesome, the bakery is amazing and the cake is just rich, decadent and not too sweet. The ladies working there were friendly and offered fast and appreciated service. WILL DEFINITELY COME BACK
Nord Lyon isn't just a patisserie; it's a passport to the heart of France, without the jet lag. Stepping inside feels like entering a Parisian dreamscape: gleaming glass cases showcasing jewel-toned éclairs, delicate fruit tarts, and the pièce de résistance—croissants so flaky they practically sing. Their O 'de Lyon cronut, crowned with lemon cream and white chocolate, is a pastry that whispers sweet nothings to your taste buds. The pistachio-infused viennoiseries are a verdant symphony of flavor, while the classic croissants, baked with imported French butter, are nothing short of perfection. But Nord Lyon isn't just about pastries; it's a celebration of French culinary artistry. Their weekend brunch buffet is a lavish affair, offering everything from croque monsieur (served on a croissant, naturellement) to savory focaccia pizzas and delicate finger pastries. Each bite is a testament to their commitment to quality and tradition. Whether you're savoring a quiet morning coffee or indulging in a leisurely weekend brunch, Nord Lyon offers an experience that transcends mere dining. It's a rendezvous with the soul of France, right in the heart of Toronto.
