The best desserts you will find in all of the GTA. If you like chocolate cake, buy mother's chocolate cake. It's chocolate icing on chocolate. It's a very dense cake and best of all it doesn't taste sweet! And their apple cake is my 2nd choice as it too is very yummy but taste sweeter than mother's chocolate cake. They have a large variety of cakes, pies and cookies. Although on the pricey side of things, it still is well worth treating yourself once in awhile or more often.

It's a really interesting bakery. They have wide variety of food choices. To me, it is more at the sweeter side, I tried their cookie and lemon meringue pie. But my son really liked their pie. Very likely will come back to try their savoury dishes.

Sadly, the baked goods always seem to be dry, and the cheese bread is always undercooked. The prices are also quite high. But the people and atmosphere are exceptionally good.

My wife and brother in law split a cheese bread and a babka. They offered to cut both loaves in half and packaged them separately. Extremely helpful. My wife had been asking about prices for this or that and compared the mini to regular sized meringue. I'm lactose intolerant, so she asked if there was anything dairy free and was met with a fast "no." I found it odd because generally, meringue is beaten egg whites sweetened and then baked. Maybe their recipe is different.

This bakery has some good items (bagels), however after having tried their samosas, bagels, spanakopita and pastries, I find that they savory food lacks flavour and was stale/dry. The sweeter items did not leave me craving to come back. 3 stars because service is quick and prices are reasonable. Not excited about going back though..

I've bought my birthday cake every year from Phipps and the chocolate banana cake never ceases to disappoint. Phipps will cater towards your seasonal sweet-tooth cravings with excellence. Their mac n cheese from their hot lunch cafe is to die for. I wish they'd bring back the OG dine-in service that they had pre-covid.

They have so much selection of cakes, pastries, breads and soups. I tried their Marble Galaxy cake and it tasted really good Going to try their other things in the future

You are correct --meringues are dairy free and so are ours. I'll be sure to let everyone know. Thank you for your review and taking the time.

Hi Raja, Hello. Are you sure you have the right bakery? We don't sell, bagels, samosas, or spanakopita. Hope we see you here one day.

Thank you so much for leaving this kind review, and for including us in your birthday year after year! We miss the dining area too, it was a hard choice we had to make during covid, but happily the space has really allowed us to expand our bread line and keep up with demand. If it is ever converted back into a dining area we will definitely update the news to our website and social media,
