The Team here is absolutely amazing. Special shout out to TJ. Everyone went out of their way to help us, both with food (slight modification) and giving us hot water to warm up baby formula. Will definitely recommend people to come here and eat yummy food and drinks.
The customer service was nice but we did not fancy the samosa wrap (would not recommend). We did not try any of the sweets though; perhaps they would have actually been good. There are a couple of vegan options.
Smashing IT! If you have a sweet tooth then do I have the place for you! Nestled in the heart of the Distillery District where all the cool and trendy people hand-out you'll find a authentic bakery called The Sweet Escape. I call it authentic because all of their sweets are homemade. Baked right at the very location that they sell them. True quality ingredients goes into all of their baked goods. Also, this is truly the best place in Toronto to get a grilled cheese sandwich! They also have an excellent selection of hot beverages, lattes and cold drinks to choose from. My favorite sandwich is definitely the brie with pear. Delectable! So if you're in the neighbour and strolling through the all the great things that the Distillery District has to offer make sure you're fueling up at The Sweet Escape! Great place for breakfast, lunch, dinner and even that afternoon snack! A great place to pick up some sweets for that holiday get together! Also GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!
Tiny little bakery with great cakes and cupcakes! We ordered here for our son's birthday and everything was delicious and not too sweet. They also have gluten free options, and the cupcake pricing was better than other spots in the city.
This is such a cute and cozy little bakery tucked away in the Distillery District! The atmosphere is always welcoming, the service is amazing, and everything I’ve tried so far has been absolutely delicious. I’ve had a couple of their sandwiches—which were fresh and tasty—but my absolute favourite has to be the broccoli cheddar quiche. It’s rich, flavourful, and perfectly satisfying. The staff here are wonderful—there’s one girl in particular who always has the most beautiful makeup and is incredibly kind and helpful every time I visit. Little details like that really add to the charm of the place. Definitely a great spot to stop by if you're in the area!
Best Ice cream i've ever had! I always visit when in the area because it is a must. The staff are always friendly and helpful. highly recommend stopping here if you're looking for lunch or a little treat
Service is awful, and as I read other reviews I’m not the only one who thinks this… there was not a clear line/place to order, so after waiting several minutes to finally ask if I could order, the lady gave me attitude like I was being rude for asking. She then asked if I only wanted cookies, I said no, but she didn’t hear me and gave me the device to pay and I said I’d like a coffee as well. She goes “oh so we don’t want just cookies then.” Like? Passive aggressive for no reason. Acting like everything I did was rude and wrong. Horrible team. Latte is pretty good, cookies are too sweet, probably not the best choice for a stop
