Hadn't been book shopping in a looong time. It was definitely nice to go in person and not just click a button and pad Bezos' wallet. Staff were really really helpful. Will be back!

I’ve been coming to this local Book City location since I was a kid, and I’m always happy to support an independent retailer! The interior is chock-full of books, lovingly organized by genre. They also sort them by deals and new arrivals. The back section of the store is the kids area, which holds a special place in my heart. All manner of kids’ books can be found there, complete with little tables and chairs I would sit at and read for hours as a child. They have all the books you could ever need and the staff are all lovely and helpful. If there’s a book you need that they don’t currently have in stock, you can simply call or go in-store to reserve it, and they’ll call you once it arrives. I’ll always recommend this Book City location in the Beaches, which for this bookworm is another home away from home.
Wide selection of books and deals - was able to find a popular new release that was out at many other stores around the city. All staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Enjoyed nerding out over the books. Signed up for the membership and will be coming back!
Great bookstore, but someone needs to tell the employees to not have loud conversations about their personal lives when there are customers in the store - it’s not really professional to talk about some party you went to where some guy was there who you had slept with and how you partied like crazy in your 20’s so now you’re not really into that anymore…etc etc. it was a little much when I’m just looking at the cookbooks.
Great selection of books! Cool vibe and friendly staff. Lots of selection on the tables for new or on-sale books. Plenty to peruse through if you're looking for something new, but don't have a specific title in mind. The only negative I found was that there were a couple series of books that didn't have the first book. Maybe that makes sense economically since more people look for subsequent books in a series as opposed to the first one. Or maybe they just sell out more and I caught them before a restock. But I did think it was odd to see that for multiple book series I was trying to introduce to a friend.
Great staff and selection. Stacy is super helpful. Was able to preorder a graphic novel here and the process was very easy. Lots of lovely children books too
