I came in to purchase a gift card for a substantial amount (not that it should matter), but the experience was very disappointing. I felt like I was inconveniencing Claire, the store manager. When I asked for a paper bag for my purchase, she acted as if it was unreasonable and told me to buy one next door. I then asked to borrow a pen to fill out the gift card and again felt like I was bothering her. This is especially sad, as the gift was for a teacher at a local school and the money had been collected by students’ families. I left wishing I had gone to another local bookstore instead. No thank you, no acknowledgment — clearly my business wasn’t appreciated.
Fantastic and cozy little book store. A great selection of must read books. From poems to essays and novels. The energy is great. They also do readings sometimes which are fun.
Great selection of books but I don't think the man behind the register enjoys his job very much. He was so cold and awkward in a grumpy way like putting a book down at the register was bothering him. Kind of took the joy out of finding a spontaneous read.
One of my favourite place to get books from. I absolutely love their service, in past i had ordered books from them that are usually hard to find. They even ordered some of them from states and got them pretty quick.
Loved being in this space. A fantastic selection of books that are curated in such an inviting way. I purchased 3 books- looking forward to reading them. A must stop.
Gorgeous store with a really lovely curation of books. The ambience of the place is wonderful. It's especially great for discovering books related to art, design and cooking. I always find something inspiring here. There's also some cute gifts to be found here.
My absolute favourite bookstore in the city. I constantly bother these people for special orders for books and they're always really nice about it (I do really prefer giving them money over Amazon or indigo). The store is amall, but adorable, and so well curated. I almost but books at random and haven't been disappointed yet. Yadda yadda, I've also started grabbing whatever Kyle has for his staff pick whenever I get to pop in since it's a near guarantee that I'll love it. I have also run out of bookshelf space and it's kind of becoming a problem and it's entirely Types fault.
