The place presents a lovely and well-organized space with an extensive selection of books and toys. But the in-store experience was diminished by the customer service, which we found to be cold and unwelcoming toward children. Our daughter received a stern reprimand for looking at books. While she does have a tendency to flip through pages quickly, this reaction felt jarring, especially given that it was directed to a 4-year-old. We also received several sarcastic comments during our visit. For a place dedicated to children, we expected the communication from staff to be encouraging and patient, not dismissive. While we still bought an item—because of this experience—we will not be returning nor can we recommend it to family and friends.
Nice and friendly store to get christmas and ramadhan books at. Even for an adault like me, they have some cute toys. Staff actualy talk to you like a real human, not just stay quiet. If your a blind person shopping for christmas, easter or your family, the staff will talk to you and show you around.
Personal attention from the staff. Excellent selection of books, including a curated selection of novels mostly for adults as well. A pleasure to go in and browse and shop there.
Such a fabulous store - well worth the drive from Whitby. There is an incredible selection of books and unique gifts - crafts, puzzles, plush, collectibles, fidgets and more - and the staff made some great recommendations of books for our kiddos to try. We will definitely be back!
I love this place. I bought book/s here for my husband and I's private gender reveal and asked the cashier to read/open my OB's email to see the gender & then wrap the appropriate book in secret. She was very lovely! It was a memorable experience for me, one I will never forget!!
A great store all year round. Stocking stuffer heaven and the best books for everyone. Well curated and organized and super friendly staff. Kingston road gem for many years. Support local here ,you won't be disapointed.
Friendly super helpful staff. Great selection of books, puzzles, etc. The puzzle club is a great idea! We keep coming back. They have a good selection of diverse books by diverse authors. Their recommendations are always on point.
