Do not buy prepared foods. Cumbraes uses unsafe food containers that will melt at the directed temperature. Management had no sympathy for my damaged oven and tried to gaslight me indicating it was my fault for putting it on a rack or heating my lasagna up twice. Cheapness from a "premium" grocery store followed up with poor customer service.

Reviewing solely based on the 8oz ribeye steak sandwich which costs a whopping $26. I'd been wanting to try this sandwich for some months now, but never could make it in before the kitchen closed. Well, today was the day, and, let's just say, the highly-anticipated sando fell flat for me, *especially* considering its very much not-insignificant price-point. I'm assuming they use prime-grade beef here, likely with some age on it, but the steak I had did not seem prime nor aged to me; more like select-grade (with zero age). Beyond that, there was next to no perceptible seasoning, and the fat was not rendered thoroughly, making for a very chewy (almost as if gristle) and awkward eating experience, wherein you find yourself entangled in a messy, saucy, battle with the sando, trying not to yank out all the meat at once... but you fail. I actually really liked the style bun used (brioche burger bun?), though I could see the bottom piece becoming totally soggy if you don't eat it quick enough. The toppings were fine. Honestly, overall very forgettable and nowhere remotely near worth the coin- for half the price, I much prefer Fortino's prime rib sandwich, which comes loaded with melted cheese (provolone if I recall), truffle mayo, sauteed onions and mushrooms, atop a lovely ciabatta... not to mention, a heftier sandwich. All that said, I'll be back to Cumbrae's sometime to try some of the other, more affordably priced, sandwiches- the smoked peameal in particular calls my name, ditto the braised beef one. The (raw) meats also look fantastic obviously. Will update accordingly.

Jerry and the team make sure your meals come out perfect and delicious! Had a prime rib seasoned and ready for the oven and it was unbelievable! Thank you Jerry!

I stopped by Cumbrae’s recently and was really impressed! The store has such an amazing variety — you can find just about everything from fresh produce to high-quality meats and cheeses. I picked up lamb chops, rosemary, Brussels sprouts, salami, ground chicken, and cheese, and everything was super fresh and great quality. It’s definitely the kind of place where you can grab both everyday essentials and special ingredients for a nice dinner. The staff was friendly and the shop itself is very organized. I’ll absolutely be going back!

We stopped by for a quick bite and I absolutely loved this spot. They have an amazing selection of beef, deli items, olive oils, snacks, sandwiches, and more. I tried the burger with fries and the bacon sandwich—both were juicy and delicious. The kale salad was also really fresh and flavorful. Definitely coming back to try more!

This location of Cumbrae’s is poorly managed. Staff were scattered around smoking, sitting in a filthy alley, and two young individuals, a black male and a lady wearing a Cumbrae’s service apron were engaged in inappropriate behavior that isn’t even a part of their workplace premises. This kind of conduct from your staff is very disrespectful and unprofessional to the neighborhood. Please maintain basic standards for your staff to follow.

the service is horrible. once i went & ordered a sandwich, which took nearly 40 minutes, and even though they apologised, it wasnt worth it. the food was not very good. the butcher I dealt with was impatient. recently I went as they were closing, and while someone was trying to be helpful & polite, another lady kept speaking over us, interrupting me and correcting me on their menu item names - the tags had been removed and all the food was covered already. exceptionally poor service for a place that is priced as a high-end spot. where is the quality of service to match?
