To tell you the truth, this place can be kind of intimidating. The steaks are very expensive and it takes a bit of a leap of faith. We tried the Japanese wago X and found it to be surprisingly a little grizzly. Maybe I didn’t cook it too well. We also got an oversize T-bone steak, which was simply fantastic. It fed a family of three and would certainly recommend it again. Although the price seems intimidating meat has gotten very expensive and if you can feed three people with one, T-bone, that’s something to consider. Recommended.
The quality of the meat here is excellent each time I have bought them - some of the best cuts I’ve had. The Australian Wagyu I got and cooked at home was one of the best steaks I’ve had for a pretty good price. You can tell they take care in sourcing good products. I want to thank SOME of the staff members who are very friendly and welcoming, it really makes a difference and is much appreciated! However, I’ve had a few experiences with other staff members who come across as quite unpleasant, which unfortunately takes away from the overall experience. Especially at a place like St. Lawrence Market, where many other stalls offer not just high-quality products but also great customer service, this becomes even more noticeable. For now, I go back because the quality is hard to beat, but if I find another stall with comparable cuts and consistently better service, I will eventually make the switch. Overall, wonderful products, but just hope the service can become more consistently welcoming across the whole team.
Excellent customer service! I want to thank the staff who helped me Wednesday when I lost my package of beautiful filet at the Market. The very kind staff did everything to help me retrace my steps to look for the runaway steaks. Definitely my favourite butcher!
Fantastic place to get your meats, the dry aging in house is amazing. Highly recommend the Capicola. Favourite is still a flank steak...get to room temperature, seasoned with kosher salt and cracked black pepper, in a scorching hot cast iron pan, 2 minutes on each side with a good sear; top with blue cheese or sauteed onions and jalapenos.

This is where serious meat lovers go — unmatched quality, no gimmicks.
We came to the market to eat and walked by Di Liso's meats. Their rib eye steak looks nicely marbled and thought we'd try one out. It was excellent. To be honest it inspired us to aim to try out the steak at all of the market's butchers but we will definitely come back to Di Liso's Workers were cool and helped us quickly when we were eyeing up the steak section.
Had the hereford PEI prime! Excellent! very good cut of meat! Highly recommend this place, as others have said! Looking forward to trying their lamb shank next week, and after that am interested in putting an order for the Waygu beef burgers. summer of Di Liso!
