There was a confusion with the order I placed and they addressed it immediately. They didn’t have the cut I needed in store so they got additional stock in to get exactly what I ordered within an hour. Friendly and excellent service, couldn’t be happier.
Complaint Message: Hi, I just wanted to share my disappointment with my recent visit. I bought smoked sausage, and it was old and very dry. This isn’t the first time I’ve had a bad experience — every time I go, the service and quality are disappointing. I really expected better, especially from a butcher shop.
Asked for 4lbs of Pork Belly and was given a cut with ribs still in it which was disappointing. Also bought a whole Picanha and as soon as I got home I noticed a sour smell, the steak looked fine except for a small discolored part I cut out, but the steak also tasted sour. Disappointing after buying a 5.6 lb piece of beef that was tainted.
Very disappointed. Bought 2 t bone stakes and 1 package of entrana or skirt steaks. Lady priced it out then took it to the back to cut when I didn’t ask for that. Came back a bit leaner and looked smaller than when she weighed it in front of me. T bone stakes listed 1.83 lbs when u got home I put them on the scar 4 times in 4 variations to ensure I was weighing them correctly. 1.31 LBs yeah tip of scales a bit. Too bad I live around the corner and won’t go back.
I love this butcher. The meat is fresh and they’ll cut it to your preference. The prices are almost always lower than at No Frills. If they don’t have the meat you’re looking for, you can call ahead of time and request they get that meat in (within reason). They also have great frozen jumbo shrimp and tropical fruit pulps. Two tips: 1. If you want boneless skinless chicken thighs, you should call a day ahead to ask them to debone it for you as if all comes with bone and skin. 2. It helps if you know the names of some meat cuts in Portuguese - I highly recommend the picanha if you want steak!
Good selection of meat and cuts. Solid prices. What more could you ask for? My only poor experience has been my most recent. Bought a picanha on Thursday at 3pm for a Saturday BBQ. When I took it out of the fridge to come to room temperature on Saturday morning @9am. The entire cut stank horrifically and the meat was discoloured.
