I was directed to this location by Purolator themselves, as it is listed as a designated agent for pickups and drop-offs and is the closest option to my home. Purolator customer service assured me that this location has QR code scanning capabilities, so I arrived expecting a straightforward drop-off. When I walked in, the East African gentleman at the counter immediately informed me that they do not accept QR codes and that I would need a printed label instead. I asked if I could email it to them for printing, and he told me they didn’t have a printer, even though there was one visibly sitting behind him. Rather than argue, I went across the street to the library, printed the label myself, and returned. When I came back, I asked if they had tape. He said no. At that point it felt less like a lack of resources and more like an unwillingness to help, so I asked if they had any available for purchase. Only then did he say yes. I purchased the tape, and instead of simply completing the transaction, he became visibly agitated and told me, “Next time, don’t come back here.” I asked him to clarify, “Did you just tell me not to come back?” and he insisted it wasn’t his job to tape my package, even though I had not asked him to. He complained about customers creating a queue, despite the fact that I had already allowed two people to go ahead of me specifically to avoid disrupting the flow. To make things easier for future customers and to prevent anyone else from being stuck in the same situation, I left the tape I purchased behind so the store could use it if needed and told him to pay it forward for those in need. He rolled his eyes, took the tape without so much as a thank you or any acknowledgment at all, and immediately turned away. In all my years of running and managing businesses, I have never encountered customer service this dismissive or UNPROFESSIONAL language barrier was not the issue his attitude was. The interaction was rude, condescending, and entirely unnecessary. For a business acting as a Purolator agent and representing a major brand, these standards are not sustainable. Consistent service matters, and experiences like this push customers away. I’m sharing this because the issue goes beyond simple inconvenience. This location is failing at basic customer service, and it reflects poorly on both the establishment and Purolator as a whole. I will be escalating this incident with both corporate and Purolator!!!
I always drop my Purolator packages there. My packages get scanned immediately and I always get a digital receipt, I had very bad experiences dropping packages in other places and travel farther just to drop it here. Nice staff, always happy to help
Staff members need to learn to listen to requests. Asked for a specific item 4 times only for them to say something that was not even similar was what I was looking for
My mom got scammed a lot of money by purchasing bitcoin as directed by scammers through their ATM. Why even have a bitcoin atm? It's not like people are coming to this ATM to take out cash for groceries. Reconsider what purpose a bitcoin atm is serving - it isn't serving the public, but feeding scammers and allowing the vulnerable to be targeted. At the very least, put up signs near the ATM that there are scams that get people to take out money via bitcoin, which is untraceable.
My friend and I walked into the store to buy something, but right from the moment we entered, we were closely followed by a staff member. She kept staring at us, glancing around as if we were thieves. It was extremely uncomfortable and insulting. I don’t understand why we were treated that way. We came to shop, not to be judged or suspected. This kind of service truly shows a lack of respect for customers.
Echoing a few other reviews about this store, was targeted from the moment I walked in by a staff member who was just standing near the snack area. I asked him for help, which he very rudely told me to ask the front and then continued to follow me as little as 10 feet, making it blatantly obvious he was watching every single movement I made. This made me extremely uncomfortable. Would like to know which quality about me made the worker feel like this was appropriate behavior - the fact I am noticeably indigenous or have tattoos? Both in which are not sufficient excuses for how he treated me. I will be escalating this as I see this is a pattern. Do better.
Treated like a thief from the moment I walked into the store. I was followed around by two employees, one of whom demanded I take my items out of my reusable bag and hold them in my hand until I paid for them. Then the employee at the register had me turn my bag upside down to make sure I wasn't hiding anything in there. They have a great selection and some interesting food I can't find elsewhere, but it's not worth it to be treated like that.
