Psst!… can you keep a secret? OK, if you are looking for a gym on the east side in Toronto, Dwell is the best. Yes, the one on Carlaw north of Queen East. Great equipment, training available, no stress atmosphere for everyone. Promise you won’t tell anyone right?

If you’re looking for a real 24 hour gym in Leslieville where the owner actually cares, Dwell Gym is it. Eleni runs this place with the kind of pride you only see from someone who genuinely loves the craft. No gimmicks. No circus energy. No “Instagram influencer starter pack.” Just real equipment, real training, and a space where people actually focus. The vibe here is calm but serious. The members respect the place. The equipment is always clean. And the atmosphere somehow makes you want to lift heavier without anyone yelling motivational quotes in your face. I’ve seen a lot of gyms in Toronto. Most talk a big game. Dwell actually delivers. If you want a space that feels premium and intentional without being pretentious, this is the one.

As a personal trainer, I’ve been working out of Dwell Gym for almost three years, and it’s been a pleasure from day one. The owner, Eleni, is deeply involved and genuinely cares about the members and trainers alike. She’s always finding ways to improve the space and equipment, which benefits everyone who trains here. The vibe is great—low-key, inclusive, and welcoming to all ages, body types, and fitness levels. My clients, many of whom are middle-aged women or seniors, often comment on how comfortable and supported they feel here, which is rare in this industry. From a professional standpoint, I really value the variety of equipment and thoughtful layout. I modify a lot of exercises for my clients, and everything I need is always on hand. It’s a well-run, community-minded gym that I’m proud to be part of.

While my membership is comming to an end- I overall had a great experience with dwell. This is a great place if you do shiftwork & love late night workouts like I do. You can go in the wee hours of the morning and be 1 of 3 people, if not the only person there. Staff has always been overall friendly and you can easily get yourself into a program/routine with the equipment there. I will say two things could be worked on.. but its just my personal opinion 1) the place can be overrun with trainers at times. Some are amazing, some not so much. I don't think it's appropriate for someone to be setting up stretching tables during "peak hours" and leaving them there, and at times there can be A LOT of trainers which can make you feel like you're having to work around them because they're the ones with clients. Once again this isn't always the issue and is just something I was conscious of. I solved it by finding where the off peaks gaps were and going then . 2) some of the equipment is a little outdated and I wish there were more range in dumbells ( exc 17 or 17.5 lb dumbells not just a jump from 15 to 20 for example BUT THATS ME BEING REALLY PICKY) It's clean, it gets the job done, and it's 24/7 which its hard to find a great 24 hr gym these days, but don't go here expecting state of the art equipment - there's quite a bit I wish they had (or had updated) but it gets the job done and it's worth what you Pay. Definitely my favourite gym in the hood and im sad to be leaving

It was a good gym until I brought my 17 years old brother to sign up. We went it and found out he is not eligible because he is under 18. We left the place right after that, even tho we came fully prepared to workout. Then I got this email this morning like I’m trying to bring a secret guest. I brought him to get him sign up as a member. How am I supposed to do that without bringing him inside?? That’s too much to me and over the line. The email they sent is super unprofessional. I also brought my gf to sign up couple months ago. And this is how they treating me. Good luck with your attitude.

We joined Dwell about a year ago and we can't be happier with the facility. Equipment is well spaced and organized and is all on the newer side. The gym is immaculate. We started back right after lockdown and feel that they did a great job with their Covid protocols. Machines and benches have been spaced properly, they added partitions for cardio machines and things are as clean as ever.

I was the first member since lockdown to use the facility. Eleni and her staff have done an amazing quality job at making the gym safe, clean and still the same. The overnight cleaners came as I was winding down which tells me no short cuts were made in this. The gym is spaced, signage, high quality cleaning supplies. It is a pleasure to continue my training here

Yes unfortunately we got this wrong and we’re too quick to send out our general reminder rules email. It was a miscommunication with my team. We sincerely apologized and offered compensation to the member and his girlfriend. The member declined. Misunderstandings do happen …. we tried to make it right immediately upon recognition of our error, but we were sadly unsuccessful.
