Unprofessional place - avoid! I had an eye exam here, and they made an error: my right eye axis was off by 20 degrees. Small differences can happen, but 20 degrees is unacceptable for a place that claims to be professional (errors < 5 degrees might happen). Even then, I wasn’t angry. I wasn't angry until I checked my glasses. I bought a handcrafted frame for more than $800 after tax. On the day they tried to “fix” their axis mistake, instead of handling it properly, they decided to bend my frame without my consent. Now it’s distorted and looks awful. They brushed it off as a “small adjustment.” This response sounds ridiculous to me - I don't think a 20 degree's error can be adjusted by bending the frame and making it not symmetrical on my face. I’m deeply disappointed by the way they treat their customers. Update: According to the Ontario Consumer Protection Act, 2002 (s.16–17), consumers have the right to request a refund for services that constitute an unfair practice or fail to meet the required standard of skill and care. After multiple emails (since they initially ignored my request), the clinic eventually refunded my exam fee. I'll try to get my frame repaired at my own cost( but in fact, according to CPA, I have the legal right to request compensation for the frame, too). It was an unpleasant and stressful experience. I strongly encourage people to read reviews carefully (doctors, etc) and stand up for their consumer rights.
Dr. Lisa is the best optometrist I've ever had - very caring and professional. I feel truly privileged to be her patient and inspired by the way she provides care. This clinic is literally the best and it's amazing how comprehensive the exams they provide are.
