The owner Ray really goes above and beyond here! He's listened to stock requests, special ordered my pets' food in bulk, and even offered the use of the store's dolly when I was struggling to get the 50 pound box home on a hot day! Do yourself a favour: skip the chain stores and go here for great service!

I have been a neighbor of Bark and Scratch for nearly 13 years. Shopped at this store for my siamese cats for years. This store offers a personal touch to their customers, and they are very knowledgeable when it comes to recommending the proper foods for your pets. Big box stores don't have the same feel and personal welcoming as Bark and Scratch. Shop at this store and you'll know what I mean.

Came here with my mother in law over Christmas while visiting from San Francisco. I was almost out of food for my dog and asked if they had Pro Plan. Instead of simply saying no or suggestions they said “ew we don’t sell that try Walmart”. I’m fine with debates over what the better food item is for dogs but that type of passive aggressiveness and comment to purposely make a customer feel small is unacceptable. I had adopted my dog who is a championship show dog at the age of 3 and he’s been on Pro Plan his entire life, so are most of the show dogs in his breed.

Hi Kim, I’ve actually never said this to any customer, I take pride in offering suggestions that are similar if not better. At the very least, I would have offered to special order Pro Plan as I do for many customers currently.

Friend and I walked to the store, I went straight to the back section where the wet cat food was. Lady was distrustful and pretended to pass by, when she was really checking to see if I was stealing. Been there three times, made no effort to talk to me but did with my friend who’s white. That’s the last time I’ll be going.
