Completely unacceptable experience. I was scolded by an employee for simply feeling a bag of treats to see if they were soft enough for my 8-month-old puppy — something any responsible pet owner would do. Her attitude was shockingly rude and unprofessional, showing an utter lack of experience or understanding when it comes to dealing with pet owners. As someone who’s managed a pet store myself, I can say with confidence I would’ve fired her on the spot for speaking to a customer that way. Upon reading other reviews, it’s clear this isn’t an isolated incident but a recurring issue. I won’t be returning as long as she’s employed there.
I have every right to browse around and see what options are available before settle down on what I want to buy. The employee/owner asked if I worked at a pet store, which I don't appreciate at all. When I walked up to the cat section, she keep telling me this is for cats only. So I can't have dogs and cats at once? Ended up buying 2 bags of kibbles but I will not recommend this store.
This is a small store but a wide variety. They are very helpful and friendly. They have a great selection of food for dogs and cats and a few specialty selections.
I really like this local pet supply store! The owners are very friendly and knowledgeable. I used to only order bags of food for my cat online from big name stores, but recently my cat became really picky about flavour and freshness, so it became costly to get small bags shipped frequently. I stopped by this store since it was close-by, and was impressed by the wide selection they had. The prices were also very competitive, it didn’t cost more than big box stores. I will keep coming here to support local businesses!
I bought a few high protein treats for a corgi and she absolutely loved it! They have a great collection of treats that I haven't seen in other stores. Highly recommend this store for quality treats!
Moved to Yorkville recently and love the service. One time the store owner even helped carry a 20lb kibble bag across the street to my condo (it was too heavy for me). They are always friendly and welcoming. I saw a comment about the store being disorganized which I don't think so... they have a small space with a lot of merchandise and products so it could be perceived as a clutter vs. larger stores or franchises that have a lot of space to showcase their products but I think it adds to the charm of a small boutique shop. Would definitely recommend!
The owners are super nice people and always up for a chat or to help you out. They remember my order every time as soon as I come in the door and always help me out
