99frames had good google reviews so I went with them but I won't go to them in the future and wouldn't recommend. They told me it would take 10 days to get the frame when I ordered it Sept 22. It actually took 7 weeks to get the final product. A week after ordering they told me it would actually take 3 weeks. When I went to pick it up when it was ready on Oct 20 (a month after ordering) - there were 2x mistakes from what I wrote in my email instructions (that they confirmed in response back to my email) and they had to take it back to fix. It took another 3 weeks for fixing and I finally got the frame Nov 7th. I was frustrated because I had a timeline to get this frame and they took triple the amount of time they initially told me when I ordered. They did give me a 10% discount for the issues, paid for one of my ubers back bc I took several ubers back and forth for this. I will say that the frame looked great in the end but it was just such a headache and took too long to get there.
I would definitely go here again! Lisa was very professional, and she helped me with choosing a mat and frame that really made my art stand out. They have a variety of great options that suit many different art mediums, and she was extremely patient and professional (even though I was very indecisive!) 100% would recommend.
Very professional shop, great craftsmanship and efficient. I will definitely recommend this store for any of your framing needs . They were very fast and the prices are fair . Thank you very much for you help framing my poster . Loved it . Will come again .
Living in The neighbourhood for over 30 years I used to go here when it was the old owners they were great. The two women that work there now… their customer service skills are terrible. No warmth and no welcome and they act like they’re doing you a favour. Terrible vibes. I have my own business so I know how Customer Service should be and I got none from these two women. I really didn’t want to use the race card but when I picked up my product the second time- there was a white woman in the store and they treated her totally different than they treated me initially the first time. I just stood back and watched and took notes. I really saw the difference of treatment with my own eyes. It really made my blood boil. Will never go back and Will mention this to people in my neighbourhood because it’s truly unacceptable and not fair. Shame on you both. Especially working on Parliament St when we are such a multicultural neighbourhood. . I have never felt this way in Cabbage Town from any store in my neighbourhood ever!!!!. Shame on you both. Get your act together…
Great work done by the frame maker. They helped us print the shot we took of the beautiful bahamas beach in superior quality and put it around a customized frame to our taste. If you have some great shots from your trip, I highly suggest visiting the shop!
Today I had the glass in a custom picture frame break on me as I was about to hang it. I found The Frame Maker online, as they were the only place open on a Sunday that was relatively near to me. I took the picture in the frame with broken glass into the store and within 2 hours, I was hanging it on my wall, as if nothing had happened. Fast, friendly, quality work at the price I was expecting.
Went in on a Saturday and was basically offered no service; was told the owner (who was the only one who knew anything about framing) wasn’t in and wouldn’t be coming in, no alternate time was offered. Why have the store open if the person working there can’t help customers when they come in?
