I am especially thrilled that we chose the anti-glare glass; it makes a remarkable difference and truly elevates the presentation. They also recommended Stacey, who did an excellent job installing and placing the frames. This was a deeply sentimental project for me, and the care, professionalism, and attention to detail shown throughout the process meant a great deal. After four years of putting off getting this framed, Ellen and the team at Dimensions were able to help make this piece complete. Ellen arranged for pickup and delivery and had this framed and rehung on our walls in under two weeks. We will definitely use Dimensions again for any other framing. I asked them if they could frame my face, they asked if I meant a picture of my face. I said no, just my face as it is now. They looked at one another and told me no. All in all a very good experience.
We recently moved into a condo with lots of light, from a much darker townhouse. We realized that a lot of our artwork (which had been professionally framed over a decade ago) was very dated in look and open to damage from all the direct sunlight. So we began to search for custom framers. After an extensive online search (as well as soliciting advice from friends) we narrowed it down to three. After phone calls, we felt drawn to the ladies at Dimensions. But what took it over the line in decision making was the fact that they come out to your place to see the context of the piece. After all, knowing the colour scheme and lighting is exceptionally pertinent to making the best decisions on how to frame something. It doesn't just have to look fantastic. It has to look fantastic where you hang it, and be part of the overall look. That is where Ellen and Wendy really shine. We ended up reframing 8 pieces in total, across multiple rooms. Some pieces are near enough together that they need to compliment each other, and they nailed that. Other pieces stand alone, and those really shine, highlighting the art without the frame taking away focus. We could not be happier with their work. They are not only easy to work with, they're fun to work with. The kind of people you want to have over to share a glass of wine so you can admire their work with them. (And Hudson is such a great dog, he'd be welcome too.) If you want great work, then Dimensions is who you want.
Dimensions did an incredible job on framing a tea towel I picked up at the One of a Kind show a few weeks ago. I wasn't sure what kind of frame/mat would look good with it but Wendy and Ellen gave me great advice and helped me pick out colors that make it pop.
