My wife and I had a 60 min massage here and it was great. The lounge was very nice with snacks and drinks. They even gave my wife a birthday gift, even though I didn't mention it to them. You however, cannot use the pool of the hotel, which was fine during winter but may not be in summer. Shout-out to Ivy for a great massage and I highly recommend this spa for your massage needs.
After a physically exhausting couple of weeks I decided to treat myself to a deep tissue massage and a facial. My massage was fine, not exceptional. I felt like my therapist spent a lot of time walking around, washing his hands etc. instead of focusing on my massage. My facial was also fine but the girl providing the service was practically whispering when she was describing the treatment. I was straining to hear her the whole time. I was very surprised that an 18% gratuity was automatically added to my bill. I think I should decide what the amount should be and i t should not automatically be added. For the staff doing treatments there is no incentive to even do a proper service when they know they will already get a very decent tip. I had a gift card with a large remaining balance (over $725), but after tip and tax I was $1.75 short. They asked for exact change. I felt nickeled and dimed and considering they added tip, it could have just been a wash. Really $1.75 on over $725 bill! It was not a nice end to what was supposed to be a day of pampering and relaxation. Then parking....after paying $35 for 2 hours (plus tip added), the attendant getting my car looked like he had never driven before. It was brutal to watch and certainly left me feeling anything but relaxed.
Beautiful spa with excellent service and attention to detail. You can come early or stay after your treatment and enjoy the sauna and steam room the change room area. The lounge is a nice place to read in peace and enjoy complimentary snacks (fruit, macarons, black sesame financiers, matcha truffles), sloane teas, and cold pressed juices. I had a body wrap treatment from Daniela and my skin felt so soft after. She actually read my health questionnaire (a lot of places get you to fill it out and later it is clear they never read it which is my pet peeve). Everything from the plush robes, eucalyptus mist in every shower and impeccably clean space make for a relaxing self care day. I went on a weekday afternoon and it was nice and quiet. The change room has Dyson blow dryers, curling iron, straightener, face wash and cream, hair spray, spray deodorant, combs, q tips etc. So you don't need to bring much. Since the steam room and sauna are in the changerooms, no need to bring a swimsuit. This place is expensive but worth it.
I really cannot imagine a better experience - everything really was perfect, from the service, to the facilities, to the talent of the staff. My RMT, Ivy, was superlative - proving not only a great massage, but offering many tips that have helped me resolve hip and back pain.
First time back to this spa after their 3 to 4 year renovation. Personally enjoyed the layout and ambiance of their pre-renovation Spa, but this one too was enjoyable, sleek, modern and a good experience. Massage was excellent. Lounge away small and cozy. Great service.
Overrated in need of reno (which i think its getting)
The place is very clean, has lockers, slippers, shower caps, the works. We also love the treats like Sloane tea, fruit infused water, and biscotti pre/post massage. The massage itself is mediocre. I find they follow a routine versus cater to every individual's back. This is more of a "spa" experience versus back massage appointment, but it's good that an RMT is provided.
Went to Still Water after my friend Steve took his wife there and said it was great. I Took Emily for a pedicure after a hard day working in the sun. Turns out, it was great, great and more great. I would give it a five star if the amenities (which are included) were co-ed meaning we could spend time together in the jacuzzi/steam room/sauna etc. The tea lounge is nice and comfy and you can spend time with your spouse there if you want to. My therapist was incredibly friendly and excellent at her job. Gordana (I hope I'm spelling that right), you made our experience fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and we'll be back. Again, the four star is really only due to the fact that some of the amenities are in the separate locker rooms- nothing anyone can do about that now (and honestly it's not that big a deal).
Great massage from my therapist, however other reasons for 3 out of 5 stars:The good: Massage was good (my therapist was Erica)Very clean, quiet atmosphere. Nice amenities. The not so good:The prices are quite expensive compared to even the upscale spas in downtown Toronto. Some of the amenities are not shared, and are in separate change rooms, so you may not be able to enjoy with your partner. Also after my massage, I had an appointment to run to and asked if I can come back later to use the facilities (really just a shower). However, they could not accommodate that... not a big deal but at this price I would think they would offer something like that.I may give them another shot, but my go-to spot would be Elmwood spa.
The sauna and jacuzzi are great in this place. I had a wonderful experience and a good staff.
