Having just got back from Japan… these are INSANELY overpriced. Each token is 4.50$ and each machine takes 2-5 tokens. I’m pretty disappointed in this place and with the consistent repeats I got in the same machines. I know it’s the name of the game but for the price it’s a significant let down. Won’t be coming back.

Almost 4x the price? Are you kidding me.. like get ripped off more, I get 2x but for some collectibles that are usually $4-5 , you’re making it $15-20? Yeah ok, please be less greedy

For those who love miniature products, especially keychains, and also love Asian culture and miniature machines, Union Station now has a store to delight everyone. Sparetime is located at the main entrance of Union Station, with Sephora and other stores on the upper floor. The store isn't large, but it has a huge variety of miniature machines, as well as a blend box for those who like them. It's worth the experience, and the service is good. The staff answers questions, but isn't very attentive to customers.

My son enjoyed his Mario wonder lightup bracelet we got from the machine. Fantastic quality official bandai product. It was worth the subway rides to get. Got the chase item I was looking for.

Absolutely absurd pricing. The minimum you can spend on ONE Gashopen is 8$, and some as high as $36. It's more than half cheaper for me to order from Japan myself and pay the shipping and import fees. I expected a small markup for the novelty but this is robbery.

I’ve been going to Gashapon for about 2 months now, and I’ve always had amazing experiences! The staff are so amazing and kind! Julie has always been a big help to me, with my questions. I will say the prices are a bit steep for what you get, however it’s understandable due to import fees and costs, so to me, it’s not a huge deal. I hope to come again soon!

I am just so happy to have a dedicated gacha gacha store in Ontario. Although it is smaller than the stores in Japan, the prices were on par or slightly lower*, Bandai makes high quality items, and the series were mostly current (I say this with confidence, as I had visited over 10 large gashapon stores throughout Japan the week prior). I am especially happy that they carried 4 different beetle series! I hope they remain! *Update: the prices have increased substantially in the past year. A good quality insect toy used to cost $15, but is now $40! Unfortunate because it’s not very affordable to collect :(
