Treehouse Toys ETC has a really charming selection of toys and games. I loved the variety, especially the wooden toys, puzzles, and music boxes you don’t usually see everywhere else. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and they genuinely helped me find a great gift. It’s a fun, creative space that feels perfect for kids and thoughtful gift shopping in Toronto.
If you bought a plushie from another store, make sure you bag that plushie. Apparently, they don't believe that you bought a plushie from another store even with the receipt and a different store manager as a witness :-). I was accused for stealing almost a year ago. I bought a My Melody plushie from another store and walked into this store to strolled around. After I exited the store, the manager and one worker came running after me and accused me for stealing. At first, I didn't have a receipt on me since I didn't think this incident was going to happen. So, I had to run to a different store where I bought my plushie for a receipt. After that, I showed this store my receipt, and I brought a manager from a different store to prove that I bought the plushie. They did not believe me since apparently, on the receipt it showed that it said that I bought a "Hello Kitty plushies". I had a manager FROM A DIFFERENT STORE that was DEFENDING ME AND PROVING THAT I DID NOT STEAL. THAT MANAGER FROM A DIFFERENT STORE EVEN WITNESSED ME PURCHASING A PLUSHIE. How was that not enough proof? I even offer them to check the other store to see the EXACT plushies I had purchased. Yeah guess what, they didn't believe in me and they managed to convinced a manager from a different store that I "stole" the plushies by "swapping" the plushies. Anyway, I had to tell the store MULITPLE TIMES to look on the CCTV footage to prove that I DID NOT steal anything. It took them an hour for them to watch the CCTV footage and prove that I didn't steal anything EVEN to the point of them checking their inventory level. Their inventory level of that specific plushie I bought from another store was VERY SHORT IN STOCK, which further prove my point that I did not steal. Plus, the manager made me stand BESIDE a worker that was registering cash, which made me look horrible and embarrassed in front of other customers that witnessed the incident. They apologized to me after this incident, but god. First of all, I'm glad that no cops were called. Second of all, I'm glad they now moved their location to a different spot because they were way too close to a different plushie store, Showcase (by the way, that's where I bought my My Melody plushie from) which could cause confusion. Lastly, this store wasted MY TIME WAITING. That time could've been saved if you check the CCTV footage VERY CAREFULLY or check the other store where I purchased my item. To all the workers there, you need to pay close attention to the customers or even better... The manager, please angle your entrance camera where it's facing the FRONT of the people's face... The footage of me only showed MY BACK which led to accusing ME for stealing. The manager in this store had to zoom into my hand so close to prove that I was holding a plushie prior to entering the store. I completely understand that they were doing their jobs to prevent stealing because it is downtown Toronto. However, I don't like how they treated me with disrespect by accusing and arguing with me. The situation could've been handled so much better with professionalism and considerate of the customer's feeling. The reason why I am posting my review now instead of a year ago because I thought it was a one time incident this happened and they learned their critical mistake for accusing others. It seem like they haven't learned their mistake. Anyway, I'm never coming back ever again and if I do come back, I'll be sure to face the camera and show my hands EMPTY before I get accused. Oh you know what, maybe I shouldn't even touch the items because what if I get accused for something else. Thanks for that embarrassment, I appreciate it!
The claw machine releases the toy before it hits the bucket. The manager told us the item was too heavy. She did give us a second chance however this time we purposely didn’t catch anything and to our surprise the claw opened with nothing on it before it hit the bucket. This store has been reported to the BBB
I have won on the claw machine months ago. I just went in today and they have rigged it. We picked up a plushy similar to the one I’ve won before and it opened the claw before going into the shoot. We talked to the workers and they didn’t know what to say. They gave us one more try and it did the SAME THING. Opening the claw before the shoot. This time it didn’t pick up a plushy and the claw still opened before the shoot. They have clearly rigged it and don’t like when you confront them about it. Do better. This is literally a SCAM.
You may have just passed by Treehouse, noticed how organized its display window and shelves are, filled with beautiful figurines. But if you haven't, please take a moment. The store is located on the first floor, as you exit Queen Station toward downtown. Its green sign already catches your eye, but it's impossible not to be even more impressed by the sheer number of items. The store is well-organized, divided into sections: figurines, assembly items, Funko Pops, surprise bags, and plush toys. Prices vary greatly depending on the size of the items and the demand. They offer fast and friendly service. For customers with disabilities, the store has wider aisles, which allows for easy access. However, there are no signs at the walking points, in case you need to use a cane. It's worth exploring the area.
Popped in today around 3pm and the colourful plushies drew me in. Prices were reasonable, figures as low as $40 and I think I seen one for $200+. Plushies were adorable and again fair prices, low as $20 high as $100+ for huge ones. I only bought some pens this time around but I will be back to buy other things
They are reselling Pokemon cards for more than scalpers are! The MSRP for a booster bundle for the newest set is $35 and their price is $120!! So sad to see because it’s a cute store but the prices are ridiculous
