I am very disappointed with my recent experience at Hero Tea, and I feel obligated to share this for everyone’s safety. I ordered two drinks through Fantuan, and when I was only about 30% through my Snow-Top Hawthorn Berry Fresh Fruit Tea, I suddenly found a 2 cm steel wool ball in my mouth. It was shocking and genuinely frightening, especially because the drink contains toppings as it would have been very easy to swallow it by accident. I immediately contacted the shop and even added them on WeChat to show them the photo. While the staff were polite and apologized, the explanation they offered was that it “might have come from cleaning tools” and that they would “pay more attention” in the future. What worries me the most is that they also admitted similar issues happened before when they used steel wool on equipment. This raises serious questions about how many people might have already consumed steel wool fragments, especially since this drink has a smoothie-like texture. What disappointed me further is that after giving them time to check, they still did not clearly explain how this incident happened, nor did they offer any concrete actions to ensure it never happens again. Simply saying they will “pay attention” is not enough when it comes to public food safety. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this was a serious food safety hazard. I hope Hero Tea will take real corrective measures, because no customer should ever have to experience something like this

I called to place an order and politely asked if I could substitute the "popping boba" in a drink with "crystal boba. The person who answered the phone immediately refused without offering any explanation. When I tried to inquire further, their attitude turned remarkably rude and unprofessional. I was asking cause Hero Tea always change the topping for me and I ordered like 20 times at different locations. The most shocking part was the final statement. The individual on the phone explicitly said, "Because I am the store manager, that's the reason." I am utterly appalled. As a customer, making a simple, polite request regarding my order should be met with basic courtesy, if not a willingness to accommodate. To be met with such blatant disrespect and an abuse of authority is unacceptable. Being the store manager is not a valid reason for providing poor service and treating customers poorly; it should be the very reason to ensure high standards of customer satisfaction. Because of this single interaction, I will not be placing an order, and I will not be supporting a business that treats potential customers this way. I strongly advise others to be cautious when dealing with this establishment.

Top drink spot in the city, attention to detail is absurd. The quality of everything is also mind blowing. From the ingredients to the packaging. Huge selection of milks, teas, and fruits.

Very high quality tea here, with lots of options. I mostly get meteorite or osmanthus teas here, but I tried the new tiramisu latte today and really liked it~ the art inside is neat too and so are many of the cup designs.

Impatient + no energy + diverted attention + unclear low volume = the Saturday guy. I don’t know what is with the attitude, this location is the worst I’ve been to. I like the drinks but will have to contemplate going to other tea places next time in the area. After all, Yonge street is packed with bubble tea.

I heard they got a new milk coffee drink with cheese cream and I tried it immediately when it released!!! It’s soooo creamy and got some cocoa powder on top! OMG it’s so goooood! Suggest 50% sugar or it will be a little too much (but if you like sweet one just ask for regular sugar hahaha)! Also they got a green veggie smoothie with mung beans slush omg it’s soooooooo good must try!!!!!

What surprises me is that Song can manage the bubble tea shop all by herself, making drinks both quickly and well. BTW, the Osmanthus Blossom is really quite good.
