First time shopping on the Desi bazaar street in Toronto. After looking at many clothing stores, I have to say Sangam Silk was my favorite. They have such a clean store, amazing collection (especially for weddings), and the owners were really nice and trustworthy. The prices were also very reasonable for the amazing quality of work. I bought a lehenga for my sisters Sangeet and I absolutely loved it, and got so many compliments. The owners even customized the blouse for me and it turned out exactly as I imagined. They shipped it in the Knick of time. My family also bought quite a few outfits from here for my sisters wedding and they were such great quality!! I would definitely go back next time I need to shop for Indian/Desi outfits.
My sister and I have had an exceptional experience at Sangam silk. Neelam has helped us pick multiple dresses and made sure customizations and alterations were completed as requested within the time frame needed for wedding events. All the staff here are so lovely and helpful and the dress selection is also impeccable. Can’t wait to buy more here!
All the dresses in this store are absolutely beautiful. They put great detail into every single dress. I bought two dresses from this store. The owner was quite lovely and helpful which was appreciated. Both dresses I bought needed to be tailored which costed extra, understandably. The first dress I got there was absolutely beautiful. The only thing is, the tailoring on it was rushed and therefore it's not as great of a piece as I would've hoped for. I will be going and getting it retailored elsewhere as I truly do love the dress and will be keeping it. The only draw back is the way it fit. I did end up wearing it and getting someone to help make it look better and more my fit as a quick fix. I got a lot of compliments on the dress. My second dress... PERFECT. Everything is absolutely PERFECT. It fits me perfectly, it's absolutely beautiful. There's no complaints, nothing needs to be touched up. As a whole, I'm happy with the service, AND the products. In the future, I will be attending here again for any Desi events.

HONEST REVIEW ‼️ SAVE YOURSELF On December 15th 2023 we went to Canada to visit Sangam Silk Store and my mom bought 2 outfits worth over $700. The associate took her measurements and told us 8 weeks to deliver. Note- this was an item we found in her store, this was not a custom piece. Nothing was customized. After 8 weeks, we asked for an update on the item, but we realize our texts and calls aren’t going through. Our numbers were blocked. We have then reach out on IG to inquire, they text from you from a different number saying “ don’t worry it will come soon and we HOPE it will ship next week.” A few weeks go by, we inquire again- but we’re blocked again. I got a new number for them from someone else, We stress on a phone call that we need the outfits soon since the wedding is in May, she reassures it’ll be here before then. We get the outfit on 04/1/24 almost 5 months later from the time we purchased- and it’s 4 sizes bigger than what we ordered. Now we have to find a tailor to correct it 3 weeks before the wedding. The SAME exact thing happened to my fiancés mom. Neelam took measurements over the phone, gave her the runaround with numerous numbers, and got an outfit late, which now needs to be tailored. I’m confident she just ordered a size. My mom’s a 36, and the outfit was a 42. They don’t try to correct the issue, they just say it’s never happened since they’ve been in business and give excuses. Obviously should’ve read the reviews before ordering. Then she texts again “Don’t worry.. if you know anyone coming to Canada, just bring it and we’ll correct it.” We live in South FL.. yeah no big deal. The wedding is in 3 weeks, Money grows on trees so we’ll just pay 600$ for a flight to fix an issue that never should have happened for not one but THREE OUTFITS. Before responding carelessly like you do to others, please take some accountability. A real business who cares about their product and customer satisfaction would provide a partial refund, or send the correct outfit in the right size INCLUDING a return label to ship back the old one. OR better yet.. just get it right the first time. Never had this issue with anyone else. So save yourself. Don't buy from this store.
I brought a dress from them, the dress did not have a zipper & it did not fit properly & she was suppose to fix it. She didn’t fix the dress & I could not wear the dress. She was suppose to refund me my money but instead kept the dress and the money. Go to honest people, not her.
I had a great experience with the service. Wide variety of beautiful outfits at very affordable prices. I highly recommend Sangam Silk for the latest in fashion on Gerrard. I love the outfits and they are elegant and timeless. Will come back for more!
