The staff are so nice. But for the price of a $1200 suit they made multiple mistakes. While getting fitted this shop sells they fit suits for the Toronto maple leafs. Then mess up alterations twice. I wish I had spent my $1200 somewhere else.
Reading some of these reviews is rather amusing. We have become so accustomed (myself includeed) to being able to buying stuff and returning it in 30-days, 60-days etc. There is no Canadian law which requires stores to offer a return policy. Having one is always a bonus, but unless it's your first time EVER buying something, you should be well versed in asking, "what is the return policy?", especially if its your first time in THAT store. If it's not your first time there, and you're going to return, who cares if it's a store credit, you can use it towards future purchases. Further, for those that complain about fitting changes, this is a store front, not the manufacturer. I have always loved the style, fit, and quality of Tiger of Sweden products for over 10 years or more. The quality has certainly gone down over the years though, while the prices have only gone up. Outerwear and suits used to be made of cashmere and wool now have polyester thrown in there, which is really disappointing. My wife's shoes fell apart after one year. What's with the 5-star review then? Well, the style, fit, and most of the quality is still there, if you're willing to pay. The shoes that fell apart, the staff sent out to be fixed at no cost. I also had a suit that was stained at a dinner function, which I brought back to the store and asked them whether they knew how to get the stain out. They sent the suit out for me to the dry cleaners they used, though I had to pay the dry cleaners, but that's fine. When it came back, it still had some reminants, so they sent it out again. We have had nothing but exceptional service from the various staff at this store. I can assure you that even luxury brand stores or a specific well known "high end" mens fashion store at Yorkdale near Shoppers, or on Bloor, are equally dismissive.
Great staff and amazing service! Alba was so helpful with my first tuxedo whole fit incl shoes purchase and the tailoring was top notch. Thanks for all your help, I’ll be a standout at the wedding!
I purchased a gift for my partner at the 53 Ossington Ave store in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. When I was in the store, I asked the sales associate what the exchange policy was. He informed me I had 10 days for exchanges. He did not inform me that all items cannot be returned. The very next day, I came in store to return the gift I purchased. The sales associate informed me only then that all sales are final. I then asked why he didn't advise me I could not return the item when I asked about the exchange policy. He responded "you didn't ask about return policy, just exchange policy. If you asked, I would have told you". Excluding the no return policy because I asked what the "exchange policy" is, is extremely deceitful. Any other store makes it very clear when items are final sale or exchange only. If I knew the item was final sale, I would have never purchased it, and would have come back later if I decided I really wanted it. Scummy customer service and sales tactics.
Bought a suit and shoes. Two days later tried returning the shoes after finding something elsewhere. Beware of store policy: No Refunds!!! Exchange or store credit only, despite paying regular price and not even taking them out of the box. Policy was never mentioned. I won’t be shopping there again.
I spoke to Amanda to order the Cori coat by phone and she was professional, friendly and on the ball on my request. I couldn't visit the store to buy the item so her and the marketing team made it super easy for me to go online and purchase the item there. The quality of the item is bar to none and I am very happy with my purchase. I am a happy customer who will order from eightywindgold again. Thank-you!
