I wish I read the reviews about this place’s terrible price gouging practices before I purchased their $100 bottle of truffle oil. I later found the EXACT SAME bottle of oil at an italian grocery store for a fraction of the price. This place is just a huge scam if you ask me. And also, man working there was not very friendly at all, just a terrible experience all around, so unfortunate.
Still my favourite place to get caviar and awesome New York smoked salmon. The gentlemen are lovely. Great service. Bought the blinis to go with my goodies and they through in a much appreciated creme fraiche.

Avoid, this store vastly inflates prices. I can't speak for their other products, but I bought Escuminac Maple Syrup from here. As it turns out, I paid double the retail price for them. The retail price for a 200 ml bottle is $15; Caviar Direct charged me $30 for each.
Frustrating experience as a first-time caviar buyer. Staff member wasn't remotely helpful or educational, along with being very brash. When I asked for recommendations as a first timer, he just pointed at one of the many tins saying "you have to get the best, it's like champagne, you just have to get the best one". I clarified and asked what a good starter caviar would be. He just reasserted that "there is no such thing, just get the best". I regretfully purchased from here as I was still interested in trying caviar. But will be certain to go elsewhere next time. Giving two stars as they seemed to have a wide selection. I wouldn't have been as frustrated with the poor customer service if I was purchasing something inexpensive, but for something the price of caviar I would expect better. Steer clear if you aren't knowledgable on caviar.
I had family visit from out of town and decided to take them to the market. We walked by Caviar Direct, and had to stop. Amazing product!! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. 10/10, will be a repeat customer.
hi : l had the pleasure of buying smoked salmon from a good friend salesperson Howard who have been there for a long time ; always good serivce and quality good salmon lox for my meals ... the salmon tastes so good and fresh ; l go out of my way to go to st lawrence market for this ! excellent and good quality fish and cavier and service from cavier direct !
