I am a Personal Trainer and value high quality food. I live locally and love to support small business. Unfortunately when I visited the shop today I was followed around by the store by a young lady / staff member. It was clear she thought I had come in to steal. Disapointing. Instead, I walked down the street and shopped with a competitor. Needless to say, I will not be returning.
Great shop, but charges a premium for fresh San Marzano Tomatoes when they are really just San Marzano "Style" tomatoes.... otherwise the staff are awesome and helpful and produce is great.
What a fabulous little shop! It's well organized, offers plenty of Ontario produce which I appreciate, and it's well stocked with quality items. I'm a big fan of fresh herbs and the fresh herbs here were fantastic. They were robust, super fresh and tasted incredible in my herb and arugula salad. The customer service is top notch. The gentleman that I spoke to was kind, friendly and very knowledgeable of the products in the shop. This was my first time shopping here and it won't be my last. It was a great shopping experience!
Small store but a powerhouse that has everything you might need! I like coming in to the smell of freshly pressed orange juice. The produce is always fresh and the store clerks are kind. What a delightful little space!
Fresh Avenue is one of those spots that has immense selection despite a small footprint! The staff is helpful and the prices are reasonable. They also don’t go to the Loblaw/Metro/Empire conglomerates so you can feel good about that. Interestingly, they are located on Bloor St W, and not in fact Fresh Avenue. I suspect that that name is actually a reference to the fresh food in store and not in fact their physical location. Anywho, how are you doing? Been going to the gym I see! Dope.
When you’re in the neighborhood and you don’t have time to get to a supermarket, then this place will do just fine. Huge selection of fresh produce, and packaged goods are plentiful. It’s sometimes a little tight to navigate around the shop due to the smallish size, and be prepared to pay a little extra for the convenience.
Hi there, Not a regular shopper there, yet, but I had a great experience recently, having met the new owner, Ahmed, so my rating is based on my 3 experiences so far with him, and the food. He was amenable to allowing me to reuse my juice container without compromising anyone's safety. He recognizes the need to be able to get back reusing containers. I have found great Ontario tomatoes on the vine there. They tasted so much better than those I have found elsewhere. I have the same experience with red peppers which I think were also Ontario, though I'm not sure of that. Not sure why these two things were so much more tasty. Maybe they are all purchase from the same food terminal They have a beautiful selection of hanging baskets and herbs right now and since I am isolating, he agreed to put one aside for me (after I already purchased one). I love getting to know the person behind the business.
