I used to like this place alot until i started noticing rotting / moldy stuff being sold at this location. Stuff like hummus not expired I opened the pack when i got home and it had fungus all over it. Fruits packed in a small box would be fresh on top and rotten shit at the bottom berries/ lychees anything. Once I got chicken breast from this place and it had a weird smell. I believe this has to do with temperature control and the place is degrading its standards or I dont know what’s happening. I wont be returning sadly.
They were sooooo sweet and suggested even better flowers for our gift to our friend!!! They really delivered!!! The flowers are so fresh and smell and look so beautiful!!!! Thank you so so so much!!! Best gift of flowers!!
Great little supermarket / convenience store in the neighborhood. Lots of good products, fair prices, great customer service. I'm here three-four times a week and it never disappoints !
Thought it was a decent store at first and quite well stocked. But they have shady business practices. They don’t mention produce items on the bill. It’s just labeled as “produce”. The cashier basically types in whatever they want to. As others have mentioned in some of the reviews, several items were overcharged or prices were “mistyped. I had the same experience, they definitely inflated my bill. If you get a few items, they don’t as it’s easy to spot. But if you buy several items, they cheat. Very shady and a complete turn off. Watch out, ask for your bill and pay close attention!
Best but cheapest produce in Toronto, i have tried every single grocery chains in the city. This place have fresh produce, they dont have much of pantry collections- mostly korean stuff they carry but can’t beat fruits & vegetables. I love their to go melon packs - cheap & best.
August 2024 This is a review for the plant section of the store. The store is having a 10% discount on all plants as a promotion. However, their business ethics are dirty. They listed the plant at $79.99 and upon inquiry, they claimed it was incorrect and is now selling for $109.99. Staff said they were priced during grand opening two months ago and because of inflation they need to increase the prices. They didn’t get the chance to update their prices. Personally I don’t think this is a good business ethic as it leads to disappointment. I saw the staff arguing with a customer
I go to the sweat and tonic in the same building and my best friend and I always try to stop by this place to buy some groceries at least once a week. They have great selection of regular groceries items and Asian ingredients/snacks at great prices. With fresh and wild around the corner selling avocados for $5/each (insane), I would choose this place every time. I would even say their prices are lower or comparable to the Urban Fresh down the street. Items of note that they have that doesn’t require me to walk to dundas/chinatown to grab: 1. A bunch of Asian sauces (ponzu, fish, soy, chili) 2. prepackaged herbs, Thai chilis, lemongrass, etc. 3. Tapioca starch 4. A bunch of different seasonings 5. Sliced frozen meat for hot pot I recently noticed that they are selling chicken thighs/breast here too at around $5-7/lb which I think is really reasonable. All and all, I love this little market and hope they stay open for a long time.
