Best shop in Parkdale. My puppy and I live upstairs and visit everyday. They have everything from fresh produce, smoothies, breakfast sandwiches, fresh pressed juice. All for a fair price from genuine people who care about their community.
So when the Parkdale Fruit Market opened, the most I thought was: "Excellent, a place to buy fruit - perhaps i won't perish from vitamin deficiency and/or scurvy." Ask anybody in the neighborhood though - it's quickly become an indispensable part of the community. Buying the great produce they just keep adding things to help us improve our wellness - healthy sandwiches, smoothies, fresh juice and natural teas...I could go on. Not to mention an unreal plant and flower selection that keeps growing (for that mental wellness, y'all). And speaking of - the icing on the cake is that the owners Tenzin and Pasang are THE BEST people. Always helpful, friendly (even to a pain like me) and pretty dang hilarious. They're always supporting and offering up their corner for neighborhood initiatives... and they won't boast about it but I know they've sponsored a couple things as well. I'm this effusive because in this world we live in, good, everyday people providing stuff that's good for us while doing good things need and deserve our support. And it's great when giving that support means *we* get to be healthier and have a better day. Go visit. You go now!
This is a great place in Parkdale, fresh fruit, flowers and quick eats. I've been shopping here ever since it opened several years ago and always had a great experience. I was shocked to see a 1* review here accusing of racial profiling. Firstly, neither of the people who own and work in this store are Caucasian. It is easy to accuse a Caucasian of racism, but it is more difficult when a racialized person is accused of it. The person who wrote the review wanted to get stuff without paying and in any race or country that would be unacceptable, even if you were the whitest Icelander in Iceland. Seems the person just wanted free stuff and was offended when confronted. That's called capitalism, not racism!
The place is fantastic... fresh breakfast and other sandwiches made with freshly prepared ingredients... a friendly smile all the times... unique items like "orange peel" tea...

I always grab my fruit for my house and my shop from this local shop owner is so good and knowledgeable bout their stuff and she’s funny , I’ll always support them you should do it too !!!
I just experienced racial profiling at this market. I’ve recently made it a habit to stop by for coffee and a bagel, but today’s visit left me hurt and disappointed. While waiting for my bagel, I decided to grab two lemons, a piece of ginger, and some turmeric. However, as I was bagging the items, I realized I only had enough change for my coffee and bagel. I informed the male owner of my mistake, laughed at myself for forgetting, and put the items back—all in full view of the owner, who even chuckled along with me. After paying for my coffee and continuing to wait for my bagel, the young man working behind the counter handed it to me and then abruptly asked if I had put the groceries back. I was stunned—he had just watched me return them moments earlier. Despite my shock, I confirmed that I had indeed put them back. He then took it a step further and asked me to empty my pockets. I cannot express how hurt and disappointed I was at that moment. Still, I emptied my pockets onto the counter, even though I had done absolutely nothing wrong. The produce section is located right near the coffee station, making it impossible to miss me returning the items. What makes this even more upsetting is that I am a regular customer at this market—and so is my mother, who lives in a completely different neighborhood. To be treated this way despite our ongoing support for this business is beyond disappointing. This kind of prejudice is unacceptable. No customer should ever be treated this way, especially in 2025!!!!
