Prices are outrageous, i get it i get it its out of the way, but really it's nuts. the store is cramped as hell, claustrophobia causing, also stocked so poorly and strangely seemingly without rhyme or reason. its chaos !!!!!!!
Love this grocery store, truly a gem in the neighbourhood! The selection is always fresh, and Sandy, the owner, is incredibly helpful and friendly. The staff here are great!
Yes I would like to highly recommend the staff at their Queen st east location , in particular Kaur Mandeep ( manager Sandy Santos ) Kaur is the most dignified and sensitive customer service personnel I have experienced in my 40 years of living in the beach . She is an absolute gem and at the top of her customer service acumen , she will go far in whatever profession she aspires Thank you , Sheilah Crichton ( long time customer
Meat department is terrible! Always out of stock on sale items. Bought a couple t-bones and the smell from them lingered in my kitchen all day completely rotten. Foil wrapped baked potatoes were mouldy when I opened them and they wouldn’t do anything because I didn’t get a receipt.
I really appreciate the exceptional customer service I received from Eden in the Deli section. I came in to purchase a rotisserie chicken. There was only 1 chicken left at the Deli counter and not my flavour. The clerk at the Deli counter informed me that she had a fresh batch of chickens cooking and it will be out of the oven in 20 mins. She suggested that she could text me and would put aside a BBQ chicken for me. So, I gave her my info, in 20 mins I received a text that my BBQ chicken was ready to be picked up. Thank you Eden.
This grocery store has been a solid staple in the neighborhood—clean, well-stocked, and full of charm. It definitely adds to the appeal of living in this area, with its fresh produce, neatly arranged aisles, and a strong focus on Italian goods. From pasta to espresso, the selection is a dream for lovers of Italian cuisine. That said, I’d love to see the store expand a bit more in terms of international offerings. The neighborhood is diverse, and having items from other cultures would make this great place even better. A few suggestions: • Popular East and Southeast Asian staples like jasmine rice, soy sauce, gochujang, and instant ramen varieties • Middle Eastern items such as tahini, couscous, pita, and spices like sumac or za’atar • Latin American essentials like plantain chips, masa harina, canned beans, and hot sauces • A few Indian basics—think basmati rice, lentils, curry pastes, and a small spice rack This would turn a wonderful shopping destination into a truly inclusive one. Still, I appreciate the friendly staff and the overall vibe—and I’m looking forward to seeing it grow.
This is my main grocery store in the beaches. It's small but highly functional and has good prices. The staff are always friendly too which is rare in my recent grocery store experiences.
