I live a really busy life, my schedule barely permits a lunch most days, so for Xmas 2016 I did the typical overbooked, mismanaged city-dweller Christmas shopping.. on Christmas Eve. Spruce was open late and fully stocked. It was so busy, but the attentiveness of the employees was incredible. The buyers were there, attentive, kind and knowledgeable about every product they had. Truely passionate about what they do.In this store I found something for everyone. My 3 year old niece, my 26 year old sister, my 52 year old aunt and my 67 year old mother + father in law.I asked them to pack everything in a strange manner; in the order of the cities I was visiting / the groups of people who'd be receiving the gifts (this was way too specific for any level of packaging request but they happily obliged). Beautiful bags in lovely tissue, organized in one big bag by their final recipient. I didn't even have to wrap, nor unpack to determine who got what.Since that Xmas, I've been to the store many times. I have found my all time favorite 1970's fully operational flip clock there. I've found beautiful barware and amazing gifts for friends and colleagues. This store is the answer to your gift giving needs. I waited way too long to give this store a 5 star review. They mix fresh eclectic, vintage finds and new ideas in a cozy space in the best neighbourhood. They need more than 1 store. But like their products, this place is always full of surprises. Recently, they had a mobile pizza oven! Like, what????Get yourself in this place. You will regret it if you don't.
