Truly authentic Mexican fare that's both super delicious and healthy! Warm, friendly service and atmosphere with a caring, committed owner. The fish tacos and house-made guacamole are just two of our favourites.
Cool Hand Of A Girl is a great spot in the Junction! Delicious food, welcoming environment and friendly staff. My personal favourite is the Mexican bowl! Highly recommend checking out this locally-owned spot that has amazing Mexican flavours, generous portions and lots of options for various dietary needs.
Lucia, with her cheerful personality and her great staff has been managing this restaurant for a good 17 years! Cozy and warm recently fresh painted interior and exterior façade looks great! The menu caters to a wide selection of tastes with healthy careful selected ingredients: very yummy sandwiches with soup or salads, fish tacos, healthy bowl plates, great coffee and treats; conveniently located in the Junction village just East of Keele St., Outdoor Summer patio is available and parking can be found around the side streets and Green P along Dundas St. All definitely done with a Cool Hand! Keep it up Lucia!?✋
taking a break mid-meal to celebrate this fresh, delicious, hearty offering called the huevos con chorizo this cool slaw is scrumptious, the cucumber lemon juice is deeply hydrating, the folks here are warm, every element of my experience so far is 5/5 excited to keep coming back
I’ll try to make this as brief as possible. First and foremost, I firmly believe the yuca fries they serve here are the best within a solid 5 k radius. I’ve gone to several restaurants around The Junction and Roncesvalles area and let me say, NONE of those fries taste, feel or smell as good as the ones they serve here at Cool Hand. These guys have clearly set the standards in that regard. And the Aioli sauce that comes with them… ufff (chef’s kiss). Every time I go there, if I order a sandwich you bet I’ll pay for those side fries. My second favourite thing (and I’ll admit it’s not everyone’s preference) is the Purple Paradise drink (beetroot and ginger). If a fresh, mildly temperate Saturday morning had a taste, it would taste like Purple Paradise. Laugh all you want, I love this drink. If you’re thinking about ordering a sandwich I have three real good ones for you; Cheddar Chutney, Tarragon Chicken or the Avocado Parmesan. I haven’t decided which is my favourite. Their bread selection is superb, the sizes are fair and the chef does an excellent job at making them taste delicious. At this point I just alternate between the three of them with every visit. Don’t forget the fries! Last but not least, the service. I mean, I’m not even a couple of steps fully inside when they greet me and offer me a table. They’ll ask me about my day, answer all of my questions and won’t leave me waiting more than necessary. Love the theme. Love the music, love the staff. Thank you CHOAG. Keep it up.
Coming from Nova Scotia visiting our son and wife,we dropped in this place. Atmosphere was so friendly, light, happy and aroma was mouthwatering! Decided to try butternut squash omelet with goat cheese. Omg. Soooo amazing! Def hope to return here when I get back to Toronto.. if these NS fires ever get controlled! Thank you!!
Giving a 3 star because the food was good and tasty.. but a $19 Breakfast Sandwich with "bread, egg, tomato and cheese".. with slaw was very overpriced. Also 1 Tablespoon of Guac for $3. Overall tasty.. but overpriced.
