One of the most underwhelming restaurant experiences I’ve had yet. The tacos and quesadillas are pretty much the same thing for the higher price. Tacos are $5 each and are overly expensive for what they taste like. Overall spent $40 for 2 people.
Gus Tacos' grilled steak meat had unfortunately changed. Before the change it was really good. Since this location doesn't have the fresh cheese and avocado in their menu (other locations do) and the new meat is really bad, I won't be visiting anymore and wouldn't recommend. I hope the other locations do not switch their meat.
I had a disappointing experience today with Laura P at the cash. She rushed through my transaction and didn’t ask or allow me to collect my points, even after I requested it. She made it seem like it was my fault - She also didn’t apply my Well discount and charged full price. When I tried to address it, she wasn’t apologetic and refused to help resolve the issue or offer any solution. I hope the store can review this, as experiences like this really affect customer trust and loyalty. I’m a regular at the neighbouring businesses and always greeted by name and with basic customer service. loyalty programs matter, and I hope the store can address this so others don’t have the same experience.
Value for your money. $5/taco seemed extremely reasonable, especially given that the flavours were a lot better than what some of the "top taco spots" in the city have to offer. The fish taco was decent (good amounts of protein) but the birria taco was out of this world - a flavour bomb. Personally, I like it when I don't taste the corn tortilla as much in my tacos and that wasn't a problem here at all since the broth and sauces were extremely tasty.
Update: went back today with a group of 4 ppl everyone enjoyed the tacos! I had Birria, pastor and Fish. All amazing. Checked out the Well for the first time and it’s a very cool place. Tried Gus Tacos, very good and prices are fair! $5 for each taco they come with meat, cilantro and onions. The pork taco comes with pineapple. All were super fresh and tasty! Had the pork, steak and Birria. Check them out your won’t be disappointed! You can tell everything is made fresh and made in house. Staff was also super friendly and bottles water is only $1 canned drinks $2 very fair.
It was a very long line but it was the lunch hour so it makes sense. It was worth the short wait! I had a carnita burrito and I was very happy and full. I will be back , what a great addition to The Well!
Service was friendly and fast. The Horchata was not good and very watered down and no where near authentic. The tacos were ok but a bit dry, I had the Birria, Pastor and Carnitas. Pastor was the best of the three. The medium hot sauce had the best flavour of the three offered.
