I went to this guy for years but after this last time, when he extorted money from me @ a time when I'm especially broke. I'll never go back or reccomend it. I phoned Asteck & 2 other cell phone stores and they all gave me the same price. I went to Asteck and when I came to pick up my phone he told me it was higher and had always been higher leaving me with no choice but to pay the higher price. Who knew this guy started lying??? BIG DISSAPOINTMENT
You won't find a more qualified or friendlier tech shop in the Beaches area. I only deal with Asgar, the owner. I've read some surprisingly negative reviews? The only reason for these, that can I think of, is that they were left by customers who dealt with the younger, less experienced staff members. I'd highly recommend speaking to Asgar 1st, before leaving a less than glowing review! My husband and I are long time patrons of this small, personal service shop. We're both happy with the service we've received over the years. He's repaired our computers many times at a reasonable fee and in a timely fashion. Never any unpleasant surprises as far repair costs go. Asgar has even helped me verify the legitimacy of an iPhone I purchased online - not from him, at no charge. He's also offered to help me set it up if I run into trouble, since I'm no tech genius. If this is not generosity of spirit and great service, I don't know what is. Thank you Asteck!

Had a smashed screen on an iPhone with all my work contacts, I asked if he could do a rush job and would be happy to pay him extra, he had it repaired same day and charged me the regular price despite my insistence on giving him a rush fee. This will be my device repair shop going forward.
I had issues with both of my kids' iPads. One was repaired, the second was irreparable. Asteck was able to find me a great replacement, for the irreparable one, at an excellent price. Both kids are happy.
I had such a good experience with the owner of Asteck. He’s knowledgeable, calm and patient. He assessed the issue with my phone free of charge and offered further help to resolve the unfortunate problem. I just wish I lived in the Beaches area so I could use his services again.
Avoid this place they are upselling and not properly assessing problems initially. Shady Practices. Read below. Extremely Displeased what occurred today. I brought my cell phone in to get a new cord, or to have the port looked at properly. Would not test the phone with a cord for me to see if the cord was the problem, which is very shady (The cord was the problem). How did they miss a bent port when originally looking at my phone they literally specialize in cell phones and cant properly asses a port the most basic repair properly?! Showed them my phone,The person immediately took my phone without me even knowing what he was doing and started cleaning it without asking or telling me the price, He told me once he cleaned it, it will be fixed. I explained to him that I need a new cord. I come back 30 minutes later and they tell me the ports slightly bent to one side. Well then fix the port properly then in the first place. Said it would take two hours, well tell me that then. They didnt need to clean it, the problem was the port. Really Upset they lied to me about the cleaning. It STILL doesnt work on my bad cord so the cleaning did nothing like the employee said, the new cord it works so that was a solution. This is completely bogus practices. Cant properly assess a problem. Wouldnt test it on another cord just started cleaning. Ripoff.
