Scam, fraud Billing & Tax Evasion – Avoid Quick Fix at 598 Yonge Street Review: On 12 Aug 2025, my friend took his iPhone 12 mini to Quick Fix at 598 Yonge Street, Toronto for a simple charging port issue. The port was just loose — it still charged when the cable was held in place. Without opening the phone, they immediately quoted $120, then reduced it to $100. No clear explanation was given, and the repair details were never shown. On 13 Aug 2025, I went to the shop on my friend’s behalf to ask for clarification and a proper tax invoice. The repairman and owner spoke in their own language, invented a new “IC problem” to justify the price, and initially refused to give a detailed receipt. They first handed me a handwritten $100 bill with a business name and address but no HST number. When I insisted on a proper tax invoice listing the work done, they demanded I bring my friend. Once he came, they returned the phone and issued a second bill — this time for $90 + HST ($101.70) — claiming they had replaced an “IC.” This new bill had no business name, no address, and still lacked proper service details. Two different bills for the same repair, inconsistent charges, missing tax info, and refusal to clearly explain the repair = deceptive, unethical, and potentially illegal business practices. ⚠️ They overcharge, fabricate issues, issue incomplete receipts, and possibly evade taxes. I will be reporting them to Consumer Protection Ontario, the Canada Revenue Agency, and the Toronto Police Fraud Unit. Avoid this place.
I gave them my iPhone 12 Pro Max to fix the back cover, the Receiver’s speaker, and the loud speaker; they ended up broke my phone screen and was charging me additional $300 to fix it. I felt so bad and took the phone elsewhere and got the screen and speaker fixed.
They said they fixed my pphone but didn't do the due-diligence and the phone stopped working quickly after they took my money. They also charge prices arbitarily. They will ask for a really high price if they think you will pay.
Came here to get my laptop screen fixed. Ran diagnostics at Apple and they quoted me $900 for a screen replacement which was absurd. Aside from the quick turn around and much affordable pricing, Ali from Quickfix was super pleasant to work with. When I wasn't happy with the screen replacement the first time, he offered to redo it a second time with no hassle. I'm happy with the service and would recommend Quickfix!
They replaced my laptop battery effectively for a reasonable price. They didn’t have the battery in stock but got it ordered in 4 days. When calling to see if I could drop off my laptop when the battery would arrive, they would delay in responding with “call back in an hour” every subsequent hour that I called, which was a bit frustrating. The laptop was also returned with a piece chipped off of the bottom as shown in the image. Regardless, they got the job done.
Called on the phone. They indicated they could provide a cover for my iPhone 13 but eventually was vague about the price of repairs, saying both $25 and $35 at different times. When I asked them to clarify, they said it was $25 but they could offer a discount. I hung up because I was very confused and suspicious.
