They don't serve food, just alcohol. They're ok with bringing food, mostly geared to UofT staff and students but they will serve anyone. I drank GSU (the pub's) lager for $5.45 CAD/pint (16oz) it's pretty good and so great in value. Check out the images.
Good prices for drinks, but the venue is not accessible and does not have gender inclusive washrooms. Edit: The upstairs was closed and the inclusive washroom was not signed anywhere, nor was the accessible entrance. If patrons can't see or access the spaces, it's not inclusive.
This is a grear student pub for graduate students. Beer is cheap. The gsu blonde lager is under $14 for a pitcher which is a fantastic deal. Free pool too!
Really nice cheap hangout place. Beautiful quiet patio and no frills drinks. A few different beers on tap, $15 pitchers and other drinks too. No food, but you are allowed to bring your own.
It's not the cheapest or the best, and it's sort of annoyingly loud because of thr acoustics, but it is a pub and you will feel you are amoung grad students, so you can't really complain too much.
Compared to the overpriced "college pubs" in the area, this place is a grad student utopia: reasonably priced beers, cheap pizza, and great atmosphere.
I recently visited the GSU Pub and I was happier than I usually am when I visit pubs. Why? Because I am fascinated with college pubs. Whenever I visit one, I can’t help but wonder which great minds once visited the place. Of course, the experience is highly dependent on which university I am at, and as you can imagine, #UofT tops the list.
