Had some time to kill so I went in early, was just the waitress in there, she asked "what do you want" before I'd even see a menu, asked for one and a beer and she disappeared to the back of the bar to watch me finish my beer... felt uncomfortable, I finished my beer and let her get back to what she was doing and went somewhere with friendlier people.
Made a reservation online a couple nights ago with confirmation. Called in just now to find out they don't even have my name or time reserved. I know tonight of all nights are busy but that's just poor handling.
Made a reservation ten days in advance for ten of us. Showed up last night and buddy confirmed my reservation was in the computer but, there was no table for us. Brutal. Pretty good bill you guys missed out on and you also lost ten local guys who will never come back to your bar.
Our server was so wonderful and accommodating to my daughter with multiple allergies. We truly felt safe and in good hands. Her “British hospitality” felt above and beyond. Unfortunately, it took over 90 minutes to get our order… perhaps the kitchen was slammed that night. The adults had to rush their drinks (also took time to come out) as the kids were exhausted by the time we left. BUT both kids loved their meal so much they wanted to Go back the next day! Assuming the slower serving times were the result of an understaffed evening.
Had an amazing food at this place. The Haddock Fish n'Chips was a bit oily and Chicken Fingers was perfectly cooked and sauces matches with the dish. Must try location!
This neighborhood deserves a good pub, unfortunately this isn't the place. After coming here many times over the years I finally had to call it out. The menu tries to be many things, none of them above mediocrity. The service is slow on the best days. I would often pop in for a quick pint or shot on my dog walks with my Bichon, I have been doing this for years without issue, quick in and out, no fuss and my dog is no bother. The owner decided to kick me out last night for a having non service animal as a result they will never see me again.
At one time this was our go to pub. I previously rated it 5 stars. I can’t recommend it any more. The staff is constantly turning over. Our server this time didn’t say one word to us. Not a word. That sounds like it is not possible but here we are. We ordered three orders of wings and got three small plates of wings and one sharing plate or soggy fries? No veggies? No drink refills? Why did it take so long with no one there? The chairs and booths are all in desperate need of repair and dirty. The vibe here is miserable. The staff is miserable, the three guys at the bar are miserable, the food is miserable. No one cares. What a downfall.
