Last 2 times I went, there was a large, unkempt man at the service counter who had giant, uncut yellowed fingernails that he put inside of the bowls when getting my food - I nearly gagged and will never go back Also so many products have disappeared
Its a hole in a wall grocery store. On the 3 occasions that I checked for 3% organic chocolate milk ($3.99) and there is none on the shelves. However, I made a pit stop for garlic and chilli in a can ($7.99 before tax). Those garlic are huge compared to the ones you see at no frills and food basics
I have noticed this place on my morning runs I use to come in and it was emptied all the time I gave up recently I was on my morning run and saw a gorgeous display in the front when I went inside I noticed a huge change they offer a wide variety of imported products stuff I can’t find anyway you have got to try the mellis sun-dried tomatoes they are honestly the best 5 stars!!
I use Fresh and Wild for my home catering whenever I have a party. They make delicious platters that impress and sustain my hungry guests all evening. I have used them for dinner gatherings for 18 people and parties with over 50 guests. They are my go-to and they always come through for me.
I have over-looked the prices (really expensive) because this place in so convenient. But the quality of the food has deteriorated. And today, I ran in to get an egg salad sandwich and a container of 2% milk. Paid and left. Got back to my office, my co-worker asked if she could have a drop of milk for her iced coffee-- I said sure. Open and poured-- gross big clumps. Sniffed the container-- milk off. Checked the date (which I shouldn't have to do) and it was past the best before date. Returned it and when I went to get another carton, there were several more that had gone past the best before date. Gross. Disgusting. So, if you shop here, check the dates on the dairy products!!! And a few weeks ago I went to get a sandwich as F & W under new management. Picked up a tuna salad sandwich. When I got back to my office, I opened it-- bread completely stale in middle and everything else soggy. When you pushed on the crusts, liquid poured out. Purportedly made the day before. No way. Took it back and they gave me a hard time. NEVER AGAIN. It has not become a place filled with cheap metal shelving, no more nice produce (it is gross), no gourmet products. Like shopping in a Dollarama, only way more expensive. They also removed the coffee bard-- stupid. Meat counter half empty. Bleh. I'm TOTALLY DONE.
I went to 2 other stores looking for something and decided to try here. Much to my surprise they had it. I can't believe just how much stuff they have. The place is packed with lots of variety.
