Today I visited Longos for the first time. Bought some tomatoes. The Blonde haired asian woman at the counter was extremely rude to me. I was in a line behind an old lady with a Wheelchair walker, and because of her, the whole walking aisle was obstructed. The blonde haired cashier asked me come to the second counter ahead which was ahead of the old woman. I couldn’t pass through, and the blonde haired cashier just ignored my sign that let’s wait for the old woman to leave, then I could pass. The blonde haired woman yelled “NEXT” which was extremely disrespectful to my situation. And when I came to this cashier, she asks me “Points card?” As I was about to say I have PC optimum (because I didn’t know if it works at this store or not). She didn’t even let me finish talking and says “Pay please”. She swung that scanner at me very rudely and I tapped and walked out. Extremely disappointed with the staff.
Went to buy a small dessert for a coworker and this is the box they gave me. I have to hold it sideways...how ridiculous. I asked if there was another/proper box they can put it in and I got "we make do with what we get". I assume it means it's whatever containers gets shipped to the store? Considering Longo's is not a cheap supermarket, it's extremely disappointing. Why makes desserts with no proper boxes to hold them? In addition, when I asked for the strawberry shortcake mousse and pointed at it, they told me they don't make them that early. Maybe she heard wrong and when I said it's right here she proceeded to tell me to point so she knows what I'm talking about. I literally read the cake label! I won't be coming back here.
8-5-25 They’re cooking and serving in portion and by weight to take away or eat it on a few table they put at side walk. Quality is good and seems fresh on my choice. No parking place.
Had a terrible experience at the bakery section on April 19 around 9 AM. We asked a simple question about a cake, and the staff member (a male of Chinese descent) responded rudely with, “Can’t you see it?”—twice. We only asked because the cake labels were wrong or unclear. His attitude was unprofessional and made us feel embarrassed in front of other customers. Very disappointed with the customer service. I’ll be escalating this to corporate. This kind of treatment is unacceptable.
I myself got the worst experience although I had been shopping at this location (Dundas and Bay)since it opened. The staff yelled at me because I took a bread from the tray w/o permission. She scolded me like she was the owner of the store. The last visit was a week before Christmas and never came back. I spoke to one the lady Ive known for years about what happened just few weeks ago...then she started telling me about her story thats why she stopped shopping there.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE coming to this "mini Longos" store!! A bit pricey but they have SO MANY GLUTEN FREE OPTIONS I couldn't believe it!! A 5 minute walk from my workplace so I come here all the time for fresh stuff!!!!!!! My teen and I are addicted to their store brand sauce for Penne Alle Vodka!!!! Too delicious to even describe!!!
Visited here again in June 2025. There were actually some friendly staff working there this time. Wow. Every time I've visited it was grumpy central. I asked the deli clerk to slice some salami for me and she said she didn't know how which seemed hard to believe as she's often working behind the deli counter. Something is wrong with this place.
