Bought lamb today (Sunday, Oct 5). The meat had a strong, sour odor right out of the package and was not safe to cook. I had to throw out $41 of lamb plus $34 of fresh ingredients, and a family meal was ruined. This was a frustrating and costly experience. Quality control needs attention—I won’t be returning.

To the woman with a bob and man with the cap who leave their dog tied to a bench while they shop: Please stop bringing your dog to the store. Please have some consideration for your dog and others in the neighbourhood who are distressed by the frequent, loud, nonstop barking. Every few days or week, the dog barks loudly nonstop for 20 minutes. It is clearly in a distressed state. Many passers-by give looks due to the loud noise. From where I live nearby, the noise is so loud even with my windows shut that I cannot work or relax properly when the dog is barking like this. The barking also creates anxiety and distress in my own pets. After months of noise, I called the staff to ask if they could please tell the owner that the dog is disturbing people, and to not bring the dog grocery shopping. They said they would tell the owner, but the same thing has happened twice 1-2wk later and continues to at least once a week thereafter. When I called again, the store manager was impatient, dismissive, initially denied the issue, and said that there nothing they could do about it. Though the employees here are friendly, management clearly seems indifferent to the concerns of community members who shop at this establishment. I can’t imagine how difficult it is to ask someone not to bring their dog when they shop. If you know this couple, please ask them to stop bringing their dog grocery shopping for the sake of the neighbourhood.

This is my go-to neighbourhood butcher in the upper Forest Hill neighbourhood. They have really high quality meat and a decent fish selection. The butchers are super knowledgeable and helpful. Note: this is a kosher grocery store, so they do not have any pork products or shellfish, but I haven't found myself missing any of these things! They also seem to have a pretty expansive hot and cold deli which I haven't checked out, but it does look good.

Wow, I'm absolutely blown away by the hidden gem I stumbled upon today! The salad I bought was absolutely delicious – thank you for serving healthy, tasty meals. The quality, presentation, and staff were top-notch. You're running a truly exceptional business, and I applaud your dedication to excellence. It's clear that your focus goes beyond just making money – it's about integrity, passion, and delivering a genuine experience. Real food, real people, and real business – that's what sets you apart. Keep up the fantastic work!

The worst experience I’ve had at a grocers in my life. Staff are very rude, if it was one interaction I might chalk it up to them having a bad day but 2 employees were both rude and unhelpful the first time I went. The second (and final) time a guy behind the counter would not stop staring at me and only me. I later put 2 and 2 together and figured out that because my age, clothes, race (or combination) he thought I’d steal. Pardon my French but I don’t recommend u do business with these price gouging invertebrates.

I was there last week looking to buy chicken legs and some salmon, and the Asian guy working there refused to serve me, he sent me to wait for the seafood guy who was with another customer, after 5 or so minutes it was my turn, he was super polite and knowledgeable . During our conversation I could hear the same Asian employee and another man around the same age start arguing and yelling at each other. I hope the owners put a stop to this, BTW the salmon was great

I come to this location maybe once or twice a week and the service is great until yesterday afternoon. I bought a jar of Vegetable Soup and it was very difficult to open, my friend and I spent a lot time trying to open it and decided to give up. I went back to the store and had told them about it. Few of them tried to open it, one was wearing gloves and one of the cashiers didn't. They had asked someone in the back to open it (probably the 3rd person touched my soup) and while that was happening, I asked one of the cashiers (who wears glasses) if I could get a new one and she said no and that a lot of customers come back and help them open it, if that was the case how come they don't fix the issues? She said you would have to speak to the manager so I said Ok let me speak to the manager, she said "oh he just left" frustrated, i left the store and because I didn't like the way it was handled I called the store and I spoke to Paula who is a part time manager (so the cashier lied about having a manager in the store) she told me that I could come back and get a new one (she wasn't friendly, I asked her why she sounded so angry and she told me she was wearing a mask) Anyways, it wasn't about the soup, it was the way it was handled. I wanted to get a new one because so many of them touched it, they don't know where I live, I had to come back with my baby in the stroller. It was just a lot of hassle and the customer service was terrible and now I have to come back again for the second time? If only the cashier let me speak to the part time manager I could have had my soup then. I am not going back to get a new one even though they offered. I am not coming back to this store again, it's disappointing. Never again.
