i bought a cake from here today and i asked the cashier to wrap that up or put plastic handles on it so that i can carry it home as i have done the same thing from your store. someone wrap it up well for me to take it to travel but she was so freaking rude to me saying i don’t know who helped you last time but we don’t do it here and you are holding my line.. this and that. very disappointed from the customer service because of that lady only. not friendly and helpful at all.
Much like all Longo's in the downtown core this one caiters to the business district folks. Okay selection for a few grab and go options. You're never going to be doing a full shop here. Given this the biggest annoyance (like all downtown Longo's) is the only bags they offer are reusable type you have to buy. Given 90% of their costumers are only taking items back to the office a paper bag options would be appreciated. Just a cash grab hidden in the name of "environmental awareness"
Smashing IT! This is a great and convenient spot to pick up some quick groceries or an afternoon snack if you work within the Financial District. Great spot for fruits and vegetables. The open hot table and buffet style set up further back in the store does not look to sanitary. In the cold section they have already prepared foods way too close to the raw chicken packages. But if you're look for something quick that's packaged then The Market by Longo's is your stop.
This Longo's market was my top choice for a healthy lunch in downtown Toronto! I had wandered around the downtown for seemingly hours looking for fresh fruit and healthy options (i.e., yogurt, grains, prepared salads, etc.) without success until I found this Longos. It is on the basement level and not easy to locate but it's worth it. They have a large variety of fresh fruit, yogurts and sandwiches, including hot egg-and-cheese breakfast wraps and sandwiches at a reasonable price. It was a great contrast to the rather expensive choices elsewhere in downtown.
The Filipino staff working at the deli and preparing the sandwiches is so bad at customer service. She was there working on July 28, 2025 at around 12:35pm. She made us wait for no reason at all. We already paid for our item and she’s just making sandwiches and she wants us to wait for her till she’s finished. She’s preparing like 20 sandwiches! When will she be done?!?! I think the right approach is to attend to your customers and get back to preparing sandwiches as soon as there are no customers waiting for you to assist. But to make us wait and make the lines even longer is a clear mistake. Who trained or hired these staff to deal with people? She is so miserable and full of anger from the energy she’s giving. Longos: You clearly don’t care about what people unpleasantly experience at your location as the reviews here are extremely low and they have one thing in common. Your staff are angry human beings who are miserable and will choose to be rude, ill-mannered and mean to others at all time! This shows you have no corporate social responsibility as you have allowed this to happen in a very long time now.
Very disappointed with the caprese prosciutto sandwich today. The prosciutto was extremely sinewy and very hard to chew. I had to spit it out. I've completely lost my appetite and am disgusted with it. I also requested it to be toasted, but it was barely even warm. I've eaten their sandwiches before, but this is the first time I've been disgusted by one. Horrible experience!
As others have noted, customer service of the cash staff is mixed but virtually always negative. The employees at checkout are usually rude to customers - appreciate that the job can be stressful but having that impact the customer experience is not ideal for the primary client-facing personnel. Kitchen staff, however, are extremely pleasant to interact with, and they are consistently friendly and personable.
