Im writing this review for the Bloor West location as it's not showing up on Google yet. I've been into this location 2 x and both times was made to feel "subpar" by the associates. Majority of items are polyester, made to look half decent with the wooden hanger appeal. Selection is limited and geared towards a mom who wants to look chic and hip. I will not be going back to this SUBPAR store!
First time walking into this store and I was immediately taken care of. There were lots of options, fashion was on point, and most importantly customer service was top notch. I walked out with a fabulous new work outfit for summer. Highly recommend checking out the location at St. Clair because Becky and Alissa will take care of you!
The staff here are rude and unhelpful, refuse to explain anything like refunds or answer questions about the product - which I can see now is because they are trying to scam you based on these other reviews. They follow you around like security but won't provide any help with anything you need. Very uncomfortable experience. Made me feel like a criminal. The clothing here is expensive, plain, and subpar at best. Quite a few items seemed to be falling apart already in the store. I would never shop here or at any location of theirs.
Smashing IT! I have loved this store from day #1 I ever walked past this cute little gem in such a beautiful historical site. I really appreciate the way the owner of this chic clothing shop has maintained the integrity and historical aspect of this space it really adds to the charm of the design of the store. The clothes are so gorgeous and basically can be worn as a casually or dress up wear depending on how you accessories. Love the sweaters. They're so unique. Great customer service. Great vibe. Great fashion! It's an eye popping delight to stroll through and check out the latest wear.
It is incredibly deceptive to NOT inform customers that they only provide store credit and do not do returns. They should at least put a sign up at the cash register. I love to support local businesses but I can not shop where they have an archaic, extremely outdated policy. It seems as if the stock also is not changed often and many of the clothing looks frumpy.
I purchased something from this store and after a couple days I decided to return the item. When I went to return the item I was told that they only do store credit, despite there being no signs or verbal discussion about this policy at time of purchase. To have a store where the customer service is mediocre on top of an extremely archaic “return policy” I am shocked that this store has been in this neighbourhood for so many years and that it has multiple locations. As someone who has worked retail and has extensive customer service experience, I cannot recommend anyone going to this store. If you’re going to have this type of “return policy” you need to make sure it is properly communicated. Sadly, I will never use this store credit and now I am out a decent amount of money. Please save your money and shop somewhere else where your business is valued.
We live in the neighborhood and love to support small business and believe customer service to be a point of differentiation but unfortunately just had the worst experience at the boutique - their return let alone exchange policy is so inflexible- I received a gift that doesn't fit well for me, and recent item as they still have a display full of this exact piece and was looking to exchange for a more expensive item and was turned down... you just lost customers for being so inflexible...
