Stripped the threads on my rear wheel skewer and needed a replacement. I was going to buy on amazon but hit up this place instead. Front desk employee Latzo hooked me up with a replacement in a flash. Product was priced better than amazon. Nice selection of bikes and accessories. I will be back
I went in to purchase a front fender for my bike. Friendly person at the desk showed me a product and told me it is a for a front fender- so I trusted her knowledge and purchased. I should have really read the product as it is for ‘down tube armour’ I went back to exchange, and when I went in, another staff member insisted it is a for fenders and they install them all the time Such a lie! Look at my purchase and I dare anyone to tell me that this product is a front fender! How can a customer have any confidence with this store- go to Urban cyclist, down the street, as they will not sell you products that you don’t need and will not deceive you. My fault that I put my trust in a business that is not trustworthy.
Hate to leave a 1 star to anyone, but I took the bike in for a tuneup and to get the rear brake repaired. They got it back to me and rear tire popped outside the shop. I called and no one called me back. I bring it in a few weeks later and they replace the back tire since there was glass in it, they said. Fine. And on the way home the brake they fixed snaps. This is two rides, literally. Brakes are important. This shit is dangerous.
Just picked up my bike after a tune up (only took a week) and it feels incredible! It needed more work than anticipated, they called to make sure that was okay with me and were transparent about costs. Staff were all super friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely will come back.
They gave me a free part. It was used, but that meant a lot. They had no use for it. I needed it. Very Canadian. Very cool. I will never buy a bike anywhere else. Cool store. Great people.
Had a very uncomfortable encounter with a white mechanic in the back who made a racist comment. When I asked if a basic check up would be ready before the next day he looked at me and told me if I had blue eyes I could have had faster service. When I told the owner of the shop before leaving, he simply replied “Ok”.. I bought my bike from them years ago but will not be returning and will be telling others to avoid this place at all costs
