FRAUDULENT COMPANY DO NOT USE. Ordered a bottle cage and still hasn’t arrived 4 months later. Totally dreadful customer service, won’t provide any of the relevant information to help with this. COMPLETE FRAUD
Racer Sportif is a monument to road cycling, a celebration of the engineers, designers, and artists who create these beautiful machines. Kim, my guide and advisor, is a gentleman with a vast knowledge about all aspects of cycling and the plethora of bikes that sing from the rafters in the store. Kim is more like a curator of a gallery exhibit than a salesperson. He answers all of your questions directly, accurately, precisely, and without sales jargon, He cares deeply about finding the bike suited to your needs and preferences. He does not upsell. He truly loves bikes and cycling and wants to align you with the appropriate product. Kim introduced me to Dennis who would be building my bike and passed on a concern I had mentioned about neck hyperextension. Dennis was already was working on a solution. I highly recommend Racer Sportif, especially if you want to be assured of making the right purchase with a high level of follow-up service from staff that are more interested in you than making a quick sale.
This morning I was out for a ride when I punctured my rear tire just a block away from Racer Sportif's Oakville shop. James pulled a delicious expresso for me and replaced the inner tube in 5 minutes. I have bought two bikes here and have them serviced here. This is the first class service I have come to expect from Frank and James. Thankyou, awesome as usual!
Don't take your bike here EVER. they will rip you off for repairs and try and hide the work order so you can see it. You call them out on it and they will lie and lie and lie and call you a liar and tell you you don't know what you're talking about. They will try telling you they under charged you. More like over charge I've seen car shops that charge less for labour than a bicycle shop. Don't ever go here even if you break and their around the corner don't trust this place with your bikes they will rip you off.
Not a very good experience here. Got a new bike at good price but I guess I wasn’t paying enough for them to assemble and adjust derailleurs well. They refused to properly adjust them when I came back for first service. Telling me that this is the best these derailleurs can do. It was only a couple of months later in another shop that the repair guy asked me ‘did you assemble this bike yourself?’ He then adjusted Derailleurs literally in 2 minutes.
I don’t normally write reviews, but given what seem like many unfair reviews of this location I felt compelled to share my experience. Kris and Kim are absolutely great to work with. I had my bike in a few times for repairs, and they were always on time, offered extremely fair prices, and did amazing work. This is a great neighbourhood shop. Don’t listen to the bad reviews!
I have nothing but positive feedback regarding Racer Sportif. Krys and Kim have been extremely helpful each time I visit. They are very knowledgeable and patient with any questions I have. I find the service to be excellent and would recommend Racer Sportif to anybody interested in purchasing a good bike or servicing one they already have.
