I went to get my tires fixed because they were flat, they told me there was no need to change them that it was just an internal problem (something like that, I don't know much about bicycles), the person who helped me at first didn't even touch the bike just looked at it from a distance and told me it would be $80, I had to fix it urgently so I agreed. The next day while I was using the bike the front wheel went flat as I was riding and I noticed that the back one was lacking air, I had to go to the nearest mechanic to change the front wheel, and invest more money in a tire that couldn't even be fixed in the first place :,) Today I went to have the rear tire checked at Ya bike and they told me everything was fine, although it feels very heavy to pedal, they didn't left me with any other solution other than buying a new tire (which is not affordable anymore since I already paid tons of money) and I feel very disappointed to have spent such a high amount of money on a problem that persists, I didn't feel properly treated :/ Hope you guys consider changing the protocols for making an evaluation and doing a proper assessment when fixing people's bikes.
I went in for a rear flat. Picked bike up and went 10m and noticed rear was still flat and rubbing with brakes and frames. Mechanic apparently forgot to put air in. Went to ride bike this morning and it’s flat again. Rubbing with frames and brakes was not present before taking into shop. Mechanic was a nice person, otherwise this would be a 1 star.
A great place that fixed my brakes for a fair prices—my bike has never felt more smooth. Honestly, it feels better than when my bike was brand new. I recommend this place for a variety of bicycle-related services.
staff were friendly enough but... after a start-of-season tuneup my bike started a metallic rubbing sound. I was told the wheel had been painted... but it didn't make the sound before. the back rack ended up losing bolts a few days later as well as my inner tube falling off while I was far from home less than a week later. they did replace my brake pads but they still have a terrible squeak to them. now two weeks later, my inner tube has broken again on the same wheel as it was replaced before, and the gears are shifting very badly. after +$150 in services for a bike that is not safe i won't be returning :( Edit: took my bike somewhere else and it feels so much better and safer. breaks stopped squeaking, gears feel better, tires feel much more solid ...
ROSE: great neighborhood THORN: awful vibe, it is dark in there, as dark as the soul of the people who work there. What a pretentious staff, not welcoming one bit (i saw people like that in sitcoms, I didn’t know they could exist). And usually, when a place is real bad, I make sure my review mentions how good the staff is, because at least they’re trying their best… No, not this staff. Trust me. BUD: maybe develop some empathy?
Very quick and the price was super fair as well. They had my single speed tuned up and my broken spoke repaired the same day, after saying it may take 1 to 3 days. Bike is running like new again.
Was here for a quadlock holder, the young Chinese guy whose a bike repairer there, probably must be going through a rough phase, I don’t know, he made me feel like I was in a food bank, begging for a food there lol. Zero customer service, bossy attitude. I thought she giving those products for free so I stayed calm and composed but realised she charged the same amount as it was on a website. I should have bought from the website with 10 percent discount coz we plan to buy two holders, iPhone cover and a lock.
