I had such a great experience at Estrelle Bridal in Yorkville Village. The boutique is beautiful and the team is incredibly warm and welcoming. They listened to what I wanted and helped me explore styles that felt true to me. The gown selection is stunning and the appointment felt relaxed and enjoyable. I left feeling confident, supported, and excited. I highly recommend this boutique to anyone searching for their dress.
I first came into Estrelle just thinking I would take a quick browse and ended up with two incredible wedding dresses (one mini from Nicole + Felicia and one from Vivienne Westwood). I cannot emphasize enough how thoughtful and kind Madeline and the girls at Estrelle are. They genuinely care about their work and their brides; you can tell by the way they treat you. I highly recommend this wedding dress store - they have the best designers and such gorgeous gowns unlike anything I’ve seen in Toronto. Not only that, they will support you every step of the way and cheer you on. Their customer service is impeccable and they really make you feel safe and comfortable when making such a significant purchase. Thank you so much to the Estrelle team for making me look and feel amazing for my big day!
Beyond disappointed. They sold my friend a dress that didn’t exist, emailed her to make her pick another one and told her she didn’t need to come back because her measurements were “on file”. Picked a size that was 3 sizes too big in a custom gown that’s made with minimal seams and can’t be altered. Then, even though they claimed to be experts, they emailed her six months later and told her they “recently learned the dress was too complex for them to do” and she would have to go an hour away. At that point she realized they were clueless, reached out to the designer and the designer confirmed the dress would be way too big and couldn’t be altered. Then they refused to do anything, tried to make her take a dress that was too small or one that was too big. Told me her she had to pay to restore the other dress they forced her to alter. She is now only a couple weeks out from her wedding with no dress…embarrassing excuse for a bridal boutique. Do better.
BRIDES BEWARE - WEDDING RUINED I'm writing this review 2 weeks from our wedding day, and my fiancée has no gown. She travelled to the boutique in January, and signed a contract for a Vivienne Westwood Nova Cora in Pearl White. Two weeks later, the boutiques emailed her that that dress in fact didn't exist, and she would need to pick another. She was told by the owner that her measurements were "on file" and that she didn't need to return. As anyone would, she relied on the supposed experts to select the correct size for her. What proceeded from there was incredibly painful and heartbreaking to watch, and she was over an over again a victim of the boutiques learning curve. As a boutique that advertises itself as "luxury" and "experts" my fiancée had her dream experience absolutely ruined. Six months AFTER the replacement dress was ordered, the owner emailed my wife that they had since learned the Vivienne Westwood gowns were "more complex" than they had thought, and she would now have to travel over an hour to Pickering for her fittings. At this point, my fiancée and I had very little faith left that this boutique knew anything at all about the gowns, and proceeded to reach out to Vivienne Westwood directly. Vivienne Westwood confirmed that the measurements taken in the boutique indicated she was a UK8, not a UK12. Further, Vivienne Westwood’s team independently confirmed that her measurements correlate to a UK6 in the Nova Cocotte making the boutiques negligence even more ridiculous. Fundamentally, my wife relied on the expertise of the boutique to order a gown based on her measurements. When we emailed the boutique to advise them of what Vivienne Westwood confirmed, and that the integrity of the design could not be maintained with such extensive alterations, they brushed the issue off. They put my fiancée in a position where she now had no other option. Following attempts to alter the gown, the seamstress then confirmed in writing that nothing could be done, and the gown would be compromised. The boutique is now trying to offer my wife a dress that again is the wrong size, that they've ordered from a random website, and are telling her she is responsible for the alterations AND restoring the original gown!!! Even thought Vivienne Westwood in New York stepped in to supply the correct dress, at the correct size. The boutique refused to cover the cost. Even after admitting in writing they "should have told her" they were new to the designer. The cherry on this mess of a cake? They are now saying that on top of everything, we have to pay to have the incorrect dress restored to "sellable condition" and they have been sending one Chat GPT email after the other threatening us with legal action if we left a review. I can not say this enough - if your fiancée is looking for a "luxury" experience, RUN anywhere else. All my wife wanted was the correct dress from New York that she had been dreaming about since she was a teenager. Her dad is in late stage heart failure, and on top of all of that this boutique has been a nightmare who took what should have been a magical once in a lifetime experience for her and has no remorse. Yining is inconsiderate, and grossly misrepresents the boutique knowledge of the Vivienne Westwood line. Her website and communications represented Estrelle Bridal as: 1. A luxury bridal boutique with professional expertise; 2. Providing personalized sizing and fitting guidance; 3. Offering designer experience and qualified stylists; 4. Capable of managing couture gowns such as Vivienne Westwood. These were material factors in our decision to purchase from the boutique. Given these representations, it is entirely reasonable—and legally expected under s.14 of the CPA—that consumers rely on Estrelle's claimed expertise regarding: 1. Construction of Vivienne Westwood gowns 2. Suitability of sizes 3. Alteration feasibility 4. Internal capabilities
Found my dress!!!? Jessica was so helpful and sweet. I originally went to try on some style dresses I haven’t tried yet (wanted something completely different) and ended up falling inlove with the style and got my dress!! Hidden gem in the heart of Yorkville. Such a beautiful collections. My appointment with Yining was awesome. She was very helpful and patient, answering all my questions. I am going back for Netta BenShabu Trunk Show. Highly recommend to book with Estrelle Bridal. Thank you Yining!
Jessica and Madeline were an absolute dream to work with! As soon as I walked in the door I felt so welcomed and they truly were interested in what I had to say. They took the time to ask me about what I was looking for in a dress and brought out some amazing options. I didn’t feel pressured or rushed at all. The gowns are gorgeous and the girls are so sweet!
