Absolutely fantastic experience with Pulkit Sood, the manager of the mobile shop at 10 Lower Jarvis Street. He spent a lot of time with me—even after hours—making sure my phone lines were moved to the best deal on the market. Official Rogers and Fido services couldn’t come close to the deal Pulkit secured. He was extremely polite, patient, and very knowledgeable. He clearly knows the market inside out and truly delivers the best possible value.
Please avoid… staff was not trained properly waited in line for over 2 hours and after claiming a full hour of “battling with the system”, got the same plan that everyone else walked out with. After trying to setup the phone at home, figured out that staff gave me an internet card instead of a mobile SIM card. When return the next day, not only were there no apology, but they ask me to call the customer service and switch the SIM card myself. I told them I don’t have service how can I call? And they just give me their phone in the store and ask me to find a number myself on the contract to call, so they could keep selling to other customers without me staying in line…….. After multiple transfer and more than two hours of wait, still trying to figure this thing out on my own with 0 support from any of the staff and stuck on a line that kept saying please hold…. You will find nothing special about this site but lots of frustration…
I wanted to upgrade my phone and plan (was with Fido). I was admittedly struggling to find any decent deals online in the middle of October. This small store in the Loblaws building had signage with amazing (almost too good to be true) phone deals and plans that were WAY better than what I was seeing online from any of the main phone providers and even the "discount" providers. Sales manager Vladimir was super friendly, listened carefully to what I was looking for and patiently outlined a wide variety of options for phones and plans from multiple providers. He efficiently navigated me through the purchase process and ensured I got a MUCH better phone and plan deal than I had for years through Fido directly. I don't know how they can offer such a variety of great deals, but I am not complaining! I ended up with a Rogers plan that I had not seen online that will be saving me a lot of money each month. My monthly payment for my new phone is about 50% less than what I had seen quoted online from other providers. Great customer service can be hard to come by in Toronto these days, but Vladimir is definitely a star. He was resourceful, personable, and truly committed to helping a total stranger out. Moving forward, I'll trust him and this store with any future cell phone purchases. Thanks again so much!
I bought my iPhone and changed my plan in Fido and the process was very good, i had a problems with Fido’s bill but Gill helped very fast and professional !
I received contradictory information from a female employee stating that we cannot buy a PC Mobile SIM card without activating it and transferring our number in-store. However, a previous online customer service representative assured me that I should be able to purchase the SIM card at any mobile or Loblaws-affiliated store and activate it online later.
We came here and there was a huge line up today, but that's okay. There are a lot of black friday deals, and only ONE employee until the afternoon. We waited patiently for 1.5hrs. This guy Amir, was patiently serving all the other customers, and being super polite, but when we told him we wanted to get the PC prepaid service. At this point, he became very agitated, and saying how we shouldn't get it because prepaid services are horrible. We were a bit shocked, so we asked why, but he couldn't give any specifics that justified such an intense reaction earlier. As he couldn't offer a similar plan from other companies, eventually he LET us get the plan. I felt like he was a bit rude at this point. I was sure that this guy was rude, when he wouldn't answer our questions about setting us up on the phone plan, and said that since it's prepaid, you go figure it out yourself. And then I get home, and realise yhat he signed us up for the WRONG PLAN. This level of service is completely unimaginablely unacceptable. Other people seemed to have been lining up for them to fix things they had done wrong when setting up their plans as well, so, perhaps Amir lacks proper training and proper respect for customers.
