I tried this place for the first time, to buy a gift for Christmas and the older gentleman at the store was kinda rushing and he seemed so disinterested, I didn't know there were chocolates on the other sides too, so I ended up picking a bunch of "plant based" chocolates and after billing, I noticed there were chocolates the other side too. I wish he told me about it and I could have picked better flavors. A little disappointed with the service. I probably won't buy at this location again.
Smashing IT! If you LOVE LOVE chocolate, and who doesn't in their mind doesn't absolutely LOVE LOVE CHOCOLATE! Because do I have a place for you! Purdys Chocolatier is serving up some of the best chocolate treats in Toronto. There's many locations to get your excited taste buds on some of their fancy delicious treats, but my favorite location is the Purdys located at Bloor and Yonge Streets. Nestled in the underground mall portion just off from the TTC entrance at Yonge & Bloor you can find the delightful cute little store named Purdys Chocolatier selling some of the best chocolates in the city. What I really love about this place is the many options from single candy bar, to a box of delectable chocolates and of course some amazing ice-cream. I also love the various holiday and special occasion themes they have at the store. Whether it's Christmas, Easter, Halloween, Diwali you can betcha they have something in a chocolate form to help you celebrate the day. My favorite is of course ALL OF THEM! But if you're really in for a treat then may I suggest the Camp Fire Chocolate. It's S'mores chocolate and it is absolutely divine and outrageously delicious. The manager that works at this location along with the staff are so wonderful and great to engage with. Excellent customer service with a big dash of happiness. So your taste buds have been nagging at you all day, then don't delay get onto the TTC and head on out to Purdys Chocolatier immediately! There's so many chocolates to choose from so take your time and immerse yourself in the joy of chocolate heaven! Willy Wonka Approves this Review!~ ✌️?✌️
one of the guys watched me like a hawk creepingly . as I was trying to find chocolate. and like serisouly, i'm not wanting to steal chocolate. so rude what he was doing .
If you're going to eat chocolate, go for the good stuff! Some people think Godiva but I prefer Purdys. Why? Less sugar and fillers in the chocolate it really is consistently great quality and always fresh. Oh, and it's a Canadian company. Need a gift? They'll make up special boxes for you and gift wrap on the spot. For all of the major holidays they create fun packaging and gift ideas so go check it out (Square One, Sherway, Eaton Centre, TD Centre, Yorkdale and Fairview). And if you're shopping and just want a taste, they list the calories for every single type of chocolate so you don't have to blow the diet! So worth it!
The chocolate is good! I had 70 and 88% dark chocolate and it was good quality (not top, but good). The service was super attentive and they made clear Purdys is a sustentable business. They also have frequent client cards, free chocolate for every 9 products you buy! The ice cream and truffles looked divine, so I’ll make sure to check those out sometime.
Good quality chocolate, with large selection (including of truffles, with interesting combinations of flavours that really delight. Kosher options available too.) Used to go to union to shop at Purdy's, happy that they have opened at this location too. Very pleasant and friendly service.
Purdys Chocolatier is a Canadian chocolatier originating in Vancouver. I've been going to this location for over four years. The manager and staff are very friendly, multicultural and helpful. There are combo deals available for any three-chocolate bars, pre-packaged & pre-wrapped chocolate selections, individual chocolates behind the counter, ice cream and one of my favourites, their ice cream bar: made to order.
