I tried Kristapsons’ Smoked Salmon for the first time, and it was really good. I found them through Google and I’m really glad I did. Their salmon is way better than what I was buying before. Their classic recipe isn’t too salty or too sharp — just really well balanced and tasty. Definitely worth buying, and I’ll be back for more!
I don’t get the big deal. I’ve tried Kristapsons a number of times, always wondering what I’m missing, but I really don’t think it’s appreciably better than grocery store smoked salmon. I find it over smoked (yet underseasoned) which both ruins the texture (it’s a firm/mushy mix) and flavour. Lox & Schmear and Smoke Bloke are both considerably better options in the city, for the same price or less.
The smoked salmon bits are great for morning bagels. They have a brunch package that includes four bagels, cream cheese and a package of salmon. There's enough for more than four bagels worth- so tasty.
There is absolutely NO better smoked salmon in Toronto. This place was founded by a Latvian, and I'm Latvian, so one star bonus for that. All kidding aside, their smoked salmon is perfection. They also sell Gryfe's bagels some days, plus Montforte cream cheese, and more. I love the "bits"! Same quality, small pieces, lower price!
Best smoked salmon ever!! Leslieville would not be the same without Kristapsons'. Only wish their hours weren't so limited so that I could visit more often...
Their bagels are so pillowy soft with some chew, love the poppy seed one. Smoked salmon was high quality. Just made a lil cream cheese, avocado and smoked salmon bagel and it’s so delicious. Im only getting my smoked salmon here from now on
Amazing smoked salmon, each time the quality is outstanding! While there is too much packaging in my opinion (I think it's for freshness), the salmon never disappoints.
