The tacos here are pretty damn good! I particularly love that they serve you one taco at a time, so everything is made fresh to order and your tacos aren’t soggy. I had the barbacoa and pescado tacos. The lamb was really juicy and the guajillo chiles made it even more flavourful. The pescado was equally delicious. Crispy fish on a soft bed of taco, what’s not to love? The taco itself deserves a special mention: soft and freshly made, it elevates the flavour of each item. The guac and salsa appetizer was also pretty good. The charred salsa was really interesting, smokey and really whets your appetite. Also had the tres leches to finish off the meal: equal parts milky, sweet and the strawberry couli brought it all together. We were a big group of about 15 persons, and came in on a wednesday evening. The service was great, the staff was very attentive, and we all had a good time. Quite a delightful place for some tacos and chats with friends if you’re in the area. Will definitely be back to try out other taco flavours!
I've been told about Campechano a couple of times from my friends but I never had the experience before. So for that I had some expectations already but Anel out server tonight She killed. Food was delicious and the atmosphere from the place and our server hospitality it was outstanding. Thank you very much Anel for your wonderful service/personality We will definitely come back very soon.
What can I say about Campechano's that hasn't already been said here already. Our server, Nick was fantastic. The drinks, immaculate, the food incredible. This place is truly an institution.
Overpriced but yummy. 11$ on average per taco. The only thing that stood out was the tortilla, soft and delicious, otherwise just a normal tasty taco. Alcoholic drinks were about 15$. Service was wonderful.
We wanted Mexican and we decided to try Campechano College. The interior decor is clean and minimal and the warm lighting created a nice atmosphere. Drinks were very good. I particularly enjoyed the smokiness of my Mexican Old Fashion. Round 2 was the classic Margarita. Food is front and center here and definitely the star. We started with guacamole and house made salsa. The guacamole was good and the pomegranate seeds added an interesting crunch factor. The salsa was delicious and I could have bought a jar of that alone. We ordered serval taco dishes. The outstanding ones were the Pescado, Bistec and the Chorizo con Papa. But truly there weren’t any bad choices. Our server informed us that reservations a must on the weekends. During the week walk ins are fine. We will definitely to try some other of their great food.
I will not go back! I went there for Valentine’s day, our server was so rude, she had no patience to answer any questions about tacos. I think her name was Taylor or something close. I felt like a burden just by asking questions about the menu. I understand that it can get busy but people go to places on Valentine’s day to have a good experience, and that’s not what happened. Hope they find better servers cause the food was not bad.
Would come back for their skinny palomas, but food-wise I preferred the Adelaide location (although it looks like all the food prep is identical!)! Their guac and salsa here didn’t hit the spot for me this time (pomegrates on the guac didn’t really add much flavour, just looked prettier). They also don’t have the Sope anymore unfortunately, which is what I found most unique and enjoyable at Campechano. Otherwise, a good vibe and very friendly staff!! Thank you for accommodating my low-sugar drink request!
