I love Mexican food. I have always got a bowl full of complimentary chips and salsa. The very,very tiny bowl of chips and salsa was a disappointment. We asked for more,and was told we would be charged for them. The menu was small. The amount of food was small. The price not so small. Food was just ok. Not a lot of taste. Very disappointed in this place. We wil lnot be returning
The atmosphere is terrible, there's no good music, they charged us $10 per person, and when we went upstairs, the place was empty... It was 1:00 a.m. and there was no atmosphere. We didn't even stay for a minute and went downstairs to ask for our money back because the place was empty, and they told us that the only thing they could give us were drinks. We refused, and they didn't give us a single dollar back.
We waited so long for a drink I was going to go apply for a bartender job. The guacamole was horrible. It was like they opened up a tube and squirted it in a bowl. The waitress was rude. Service was very slow.
The first photo convinced me to ask for a marquesita but obviously the reality was different. The explanation of the staff is that the cheese is charged separately, when a marquesita always carries cheese. And the price doesn't justify the Nutella line.
I recommend Tulum Mexican Restaurant for a Mexican dinner night with friends, especially if you’re in the mood for cocktails, a great atmosphere, and well-made tacos. If I had to rate it, I’d give it an 8.5 out of 10 — I’d definitely go back and recommend it to anyone looking for an “elevated” Mexican dining experience in Toronto.
Such a gorgeous and wonderful restaurant, bringing the Tulum vibes to the city! Beautiful interior and vibes, with stunning presentation with the dishes. Complimentary chips with salsas, and the nachos are a must, one of the best we had and super loaded and worth the price ($18). The Volcanic Stone comes with so many delicious meats, and is a great option to buy with a group of people. Excellent service too, very welcoming and friendly. A spot you need to add to your food bucket list!
We hit up this cute patio for tequila shots and beer! It was a gorgeous patio! The patio was exactly the outside city experience we were looking for! Highly recommend the patio! Chips and salsa were authentic and a good spicy addition to the tasty drinks!
