Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience at this particular shop. First I went to ask if they can fix a pair of shoes. Sam 's words were literally: "I can fix everything". I ended up by having my $200 pair of shoes ruined. He did not check the nature of the sole material, so when he put the shoes in the presser, the sole of both shoes cracked. Will never go there again, neither will I recommend. NEVER ever trust someone who says " I can fix everything" BEFORE they see what job you give them to do. I should have read Google reviews beforehand (many are similar to mine). Lesson learned. Do not go with expensive things to be repaired at this particular shop. You may regret it. I do. Also, I should have taken pictures of the shoes before and after.
The sole of my boots were pulling away, and I had a real mental battle trying to decide if I buy a new pair or repair them with the assumption that fixing them could very likely cost the same that I spent on them ($80ish). I am SO HAPPY I came here. The repair was done well, very affordable, and was a 1 day turn around. The owner was also very friendly and knowledgeable. I will definitely come back with other shoes/boots in the future rather than tossing them.
Sam is amazing. I was in a bind he fixed my boots while I waited. He replaced the heel. Shined them& fixed my belts. Excellent service. Will definitely be going back!
I had a wonderful experience with Sam today! I brought him my new wooden wedge heels that got scrapped my first time wearing them. I thought for sure it wasn’t something to be fixed but he said he would try his best and indeed he did! They look as good as new :) highly recommend Also such a sweet man !
The operator is honestly the nicest human ever. Always does a quality job, always with a smile. Also very conveniently located for subway commuters. Highly recommend.
I went there to get my watch battery changed. They changed the watch battery, but they used an old watch battery instead of a new one and a couple weeks after my watch died again. Won't be going back here. Terrible service.
I had to leave a review for this place, I was so impressed! I brought in a well-loved Lululemon bookbag with a broken zipper that I was devastated about the thought of throwing out, and a beautiful suede boot with a zipper that my dog chewed. The owner was so pleasant, and built a funny rapport with each customer. He was willing to haggle with me a little bit, so we were both happy. He finished the job in 2 days! When I went to pick them up, I saw that he paid close attention to detail and used the same decorative zipper handles that came with the original bag! Edit: Aug 2025. Over 5 years later and the zipper is STILL going strong on the bag I bought in 2011. They don't make 'em like they used to, eh?
