I don't understand how there are glowing reviews but such horrible experiences as well. I don't doubt that there's a spectrum. Unfortunately I had a horrible experience. I thought my favorite pairs shoes were gone forever as the communication went from normal to atrocious. I truly didn't want to write a bad review because all I wanna do is support businesses like this. All I can say to someone reading this who may be worried and wondering why they won't answer texts, emails, or phone calls - keep trying and you might get a response eventually. PS, the craftsmanship was great

I dropped off a belt and boots for repair in March. Sole Survivor has had them since that date, with no response to my many many email, phone, and social media inquiries about the status of my order since this summer. Twice they have claimed my order is complete and offered to deliver it, only to go radio silent when I provide my address (which is very close to the store!). They have held onto my items with no meaningful communication for over 9 months. I don’t care if they’re complete - I just want my stuff back. I would be extremely skeptical of any services offered by this business. Edit: after writing this review I received my complete items on December 13.

Wearing in new boots holds the same appeal as a root canal to me, so I was discouraged to see my 15 year-old Blundstones seeming near done. Sole Survivor reconditioned and resoled them and I couldn't be happier. As close to new as I'd want. I couldn't be happier with the quality of their work and their service. I would highly recommend them!

Dropping off and picking up my boots at Sole Survivor was as smooth as a well-polished leather sole. The process was well organized. The wait time was a bit long. Booking getting the work done took about a month, which might make you feel like you’ve aged a few soles. But let me tell you, once you get your shoes back, you’ll realize it was worth every second. The workmanship is simply boot-iful! My boots came back looking and feeling like they’d been given new life. It’s like I’ve got a whole new pair ready to walk a thousand miles. So, if you can heel the wait, I highly recommend Sole Survivor. They really toe the line between quality and service. Just be ready to play the waiting game—it’s all part of the journey to sole satisfaction!

They sent my quote to the wrong phone number. Even though I have my correct number in their confirmation email they didn’t bother to double check. Never ended up getting the quote. Poor communication overall, very slow to reply to emails. Never picked up the phone or texted back. After a more than a month of getting nowhere I picked up my boots and will be taking them elsewhere.

Had the very best experience at this neighbourhood shop. The women I communicated with are attentive, friendly, and accommodating. They restored my vintage leather bag and had it looking brand-spankin’-new! 10/10 Incredible craftsmanship, they treated my bag with such care and attention to detail - I couldn’t be happier with the result. Highly recommend!

No need for your snarky and unprofessional comment. Im sure you figured the review is for your location in Toronto. I should had given it 1 star as i have been waiting for repairs for over a month now. No communication from your shop until i called for an update last week. I was told that you were one to two weeks behind. Is 6 week wait time acceptable to you? Trust me, I get better service in Africa
